Pros: it boosts shine, no weigh down, protects, smoothes my hair quickly
Cons: the ingredients aren’t eco-friendly

Hello! ✌

Today I want to talk about hair care products.

I met this Joico K-pak three years ago when I was blonde. My hair was really damaged at that time and it looked its worse.

❥ ❥ I want to say it right here that this balm isn’t a cure for your hair. It just envelopes each hair, creating a firm heat protection, making it shiny and healthy-looking.

Honestly, I didn’t even need that cure for my hair because it was already so damaged and it was useless to treat it. But still, I felt sorry to cut it off. At that time I didn’t have an idea that beauty was also part of your health.

Well, I was looking for a magic wand for my hair to make it look better. 😅 I found this balm, which was recommended to me by a sales girl. I told her that I needed a good heat protection because at that moment I used to use a flat iron every day (my poor hair). And she advised me this one from Joico.

Ingredients:

Water/Aqua/Eau, Polyquaternium-37, Phenyl Trimethicone, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Decyl Oleate, Polyquaternium-11, Pentapeptide-29 Cysteinamide, Pentapeptide-30 Cysteinamide, Tetrapeptide-28 Argininamide, Tetrapeptide-29 Argininamide, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Hydrolyzed Keratin PG-Propyl Methylsilanediol, Cocodimonium Hydroxypropyl Hydrolyzed Keratin, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Psidium Guajava Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Aleurites Moluccana Seed Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hyaluronic Acid, Glycolipids, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Polyquaternium-46, Cetrimonium Chloride, Dimethicone, Diazolidinyl Urea, Lauryl Glucoside, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Propoxytetramethyl Piperidinyl Dimethicone, Polyquaternium-59, Dipropylene Glycol, Quaternium-80, Bisamino PEG/PPG-41/3 Aminoethyl PG-Propyl Dimethicone, C11-15 Pareth-7, Trideceth-6, Tetrasodium EDTA, Butylene Glycol, Aminomethyl Propanol, Benzophenone-4, Glycerin, Allantoin, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Thioctic Acid, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, PPG-1 Trideceth-6, Propylparaben, Methylparaben, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Benzyl Salicylate, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Citronellol, Linalool, Hydroxycitronellal, Fragrance/Parfum, Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491).

Well, the list of ingredients is far from being natural or eco-friendly but I didn’t need a product to cure it, as I’ve already said.

But I didn’t have time to bother with the ingredients, I just needed a working product and that’s all! And it was enough for me when I found out that it lived up to the promises.

The balm itself is of a beautiful golden color. It’s a little bit tacky but it’s so easy to distribute. The smell is pleasant and fragranced.

Results:

Product says:

Joico K-PAK Smoothing Balm is a heat-activated, humidity-resistant straightening balm protects against thermal and environmental damage.

How to use:

I apply this product over my damp hair because its formula is heat-activated.

When blowing my hair, the product smoothes out hair cuticle and shields it with protection.

I apply it after having a shower. I don’t use a lot, just a small dollop and then blow-dry my hair using a brush. After that, I can use a flat iron sometimes.

My experience with the product:

I’m delighted with this balm, even though it isn’t natural. At that time my hair was terribly damaged. I could run my fingers through it and there was a lot of it left on my clothes.

And this product helped me to make my hair appear as cared-for as it was possible!

Now, I’m back to my dark hair again and I cut all the damaged and broken hair, which was terrible. Currently, I’m growing it with patience.

Now I don’t use heat-styling often but still, when I do, I always use this Joico balm.

Here’s how my hair looks, which I blow-dried with the balm. I didn’t use a flat iron.

I can highly recommend this product as a heat protectant and anti-static for your hair. 💕

If you have the same hair problems as I used to have, then you must buy this balm. 😊

Thanks for your attention!
