I was never after trendy hair treatments, and my hair care regimen consisted of nothing but shampoo and conditioner. But everything changed after I gave birth, and my formerly thick hair started falling out. I didn’t know what to do so I ran to a good hairdresser.
Earlier, I used to dye my hair at home with light mousses which made it thinner, but I didn’t care. At the hairdresser’s, I started inquiring about other methods of hair coloring. Then, I was offered to use this thrice-damned Olaplex.

I bought it at my hair dresser’s.

This volume is supposed to last for 8 uses, but I used it 10 times and there is enough at least for three more. My hair is rather short, btw.
You can find the directions of below. I did everything as recommended, but then I found other ways to use it.
1. The more you let it sit out, the better.
My hairdresser recommended to keep the treatment on my hair overnight, or even up to 24 hours. He promised that the effect would be astounding and said that many customers came back to buy more, and that I wouldn’t regret the purchase.
So, that’s how I’ve been using it for three months now, once a week. I apply it onto towel dry hair and let it sit for 24 hours.
After treatment, my hair feels heavy and voluminous. It seems that the effect after hair wash would be amazing.
Don’t pay attention to my hair length, it’s a long bob haircut.

The second way: according to the directions.
I applied the treatment onto wet hair, let it sit out for 10 minutes, combed it through and then applied more, for 10 minutes more. Afterwards, I washed it off and used a conditioner.

The third way: as heat protection
I read about it on the internet, and since the first two ways didn’t work, I hoped at least the third one would do something for my hair. I applied it before blow drying my hair.

Conclusion:
- There was absolutely no positive effect on my hair! No improvement! My hair was still breaking until I cut it off.
- My hair seems to get dirty faster after this treatment
- It feels too light and unruly, and it was hard to style it.
- The treatment leaves my hair frizzy and volumeless.
- There is so much static in my hair!
- The formula of the treatment is watery and homogenous, easily spreads over hair and has a pleasant scent.
I’m so disappointed! It isn’t worth its price! Don’t trust all those empty promises. Unfortunately, no treatment can cure broken hair!
