In the morning I have a great desire to sleep in and not to apply make-up. So, Becca The One Perfecting Brush has been on my wish list for a really long time. They claim that this brush from start to finish will replace all your face brushes. It it true?

I opted for the limited edition Champagne Gold brush.

It’s really huge - 4.7 x 4.7 x 4.7 inches. The length of bristles is 3.5 inch. That’s not bad for the brush, is it?

Goat hair bristles are soft and densely packed. This brush won’t irritate even the most sensitive skin.

I compared the size of it with my long-fingered hand.

They promise that this brush is good for everything: primer, foundation, concealer, contour powder, bronzer, blusher, highlighter. Can it really apply everything? Let’s find out.

1. Face primer. This brush applies my primer really well (except oily ones). It creates the thin and even layer of primer on my face.

2. Concealer/corrector - alas, but no. This brush is too big for these small areas.

3. Foundation. After I watched a video where Kerry Cole, Becca’s style director was applying some foundation on an orange with her fingers, sponge, and this brush, I was not ready to see such a great result. It looked as though the brush erased all the pores and small wrinkles. Moreover, it took her no longer than 30 secs to apply the foundation in a beautiful and even layer. And the use of foundation was much less, compared with other brushes, the Beautyblender, or fingers.

4. Contour powder/bronzer. Since the brush is flat and with a flat cut, I find it easy to apply my sculpting powder under my cheekbones, forehead and to contour my face fully. This brush works well with dry and liquid textures.

5. Highlighter. I like to apply dry textured highlighters with it. As for liquid, I’m not so sure. I’m more got used to apply them with my fingertips or duo-fiber by Pat McGrath.

6. Blusher - oh God! It’s so convenient to apply my blusher with the tip of the flat side and to blend it out with the whole surface of the brush. I love the natural effect I get. And it’s almost impossible to get stains.

7. Powder. No comments, extremely convenient.

I want to note that since the brush is densely packed, it doesn’t soak in much of the products. The bristles are dirty only from the top, inside they remain clean. Hence, they advise to wash the brush two times a week. But, I used to be a make-up artist and still have a habit to wash my brushes after each use, especially when it comes to liquid textures.

I applied all the products from this photo with this brush.

This is how my brush looks after. You can see that the bristles inside are absolutely clean.

Everything seems to be good about this brush, but actually, it has a significant drawback. It sheds. Right on my face. This is so unpleasant.

Who will this brush suit? For those who apply their make-up in the morning and want to do it quicker. This brush is convenient and versatile. I find it really handy during travel. But only because of it shedding, I can’t say that it’s my must have.
