I purchased the set about a year ago.

I’ve decided that the motto of my review would sound: less talk, more pictures. Thus you can understand why I am not into these brushes.

Pros:

Convenient brush organizer. It is easy to use and it doesn’t take up much room. The makeup tools are safely packed and keep firm in place without breaking or deforming. Plus, the case can also stand up.

The design is gorgeous. The brushes look like pro tools, very stylish and easy to use. Besides, they fit well in the hand and are the right length. No complaints.

I’m only picky about their quality…

Now I’m going to review each of them in detail:

1. Buffing Brush is the biggest and the fluffiest brush out there. It is designed for applying powder and mineral powder in particular.

The brush is alright, tightly packed and has a straight cut. It applies any mineral powder very evenly.

I apply the powder to my hand generously, but the coverage is gentle and undetectable. Unfortunately, the brush disappointed me… It was constantly shedding and still does, although it’s one year old now. It loses bunches of hairs at a time!

2. Contour Brush is less fluffy and used for contouring and applying a blush.

This is the only brush I use on a regular basis. It takes just the right amount of any blush/bronzer without breaking the product into small particles. It blends out gently, plus I love its shape. The item doesn’t change its color or prickle my skin.

In the picture you can see that I’ve blended out quite a dark bronzer, but no sharp lines are visible.

3. Pointed Foundation Brush is meant for foundations.

In my book, the tool is utterly useless, as it is too small to cover the whole face. I could have used it for applying my foundation to particular areas if it was not for its quality.

The bristles are tough and sturdy. More than that, they are packed badly. Take a look at the photo with the brush and foundation. It looks disgusting and greasy.

To be fair, I’ve compared it with other similar brushes. From left to right: Redken, Real Techniques, Eco Tools.

Here is the coverage with the same brushes: Redken, Real Techniques, Eco Tools.

Look how bad the coverage is:

It leaves streaks and gaps, which look even worse on my face. It goes without saying that you won’t be able to blend out the product with the brush.

Closer look:

4. Detailer Brush is the smallest and flattest brush in the set. It can be used for applying liquid foundations or lipsticks.

The tool is useless again. The bristles are tough and uneven and apply concealer badly.

I’ve made a comparison here too Smile

Brushes under examination: Real Techniques, Clinique, Sephora, Benefit.

I’ve applied two coats of the concealer.

As far as you can see, the brush performs horribly. It smears the first coat of the product and leaves hairs in it.

Closer look:

As a result, two of the bunch are useless, one defective and only one of them is decent…

The reviews I’ve read are raving about this set… Is it a defective set that I have or do I use the brushes wrong?

Anyway, I am not underwhelmed by the brand and feel like I should try their other makeup tools, which could be more suitable for me.

Price: $13-18
