Pros: affordable price, convenient handles, dry out quickly, easy to use, excellent makeup brushes, hypoallergenic

Hello ladies!

Today I want to bring you my review of the Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Your Base/Flawless, Core Collection, 4 Brushes + Case.

For quite a long time I was looking at this set but still didn’t dare to buy it.

Where to buy and price:

You can buy these brushes in almost any beauty store or order from the official site.

The price is about $16, more or less, depending on the store.

Bristles:

They are made of taklon and are hand cut and packed.

Outer appearance:

The brushes were housed in a branded plastic box.

On the back of the box you can find a lot of information about the brushes.

Inside the box there was a white case with 4 brushes.

The case is very convenient and can also be used to hold the brushes. It closes with a hook-and-loop closure.

The brushes are synthetic. The design of the handles is very nice: orange metal changes with the black rubberized plastic material.

Brushes from the set:

  • Contour Brush - great for blush and contour application.

  • Pointer Foundation Brush - tapered foundation brush that is also good to apply concealer with.

  • Detailer Brush - I apply a corrector with it to conceal minor skin blemishes and also for lipstick application

  • Buffing Brush - fine for any loose products.

  • Panoramic brush case

A closer look at every brush:

Contour Brush - this is my fave!

Most of all I use it for contouring and less frequently for pressed highlighter application.

The bristles are very soft and apply all the products with a thin coat leaving no nasty streaks behind.

Pointer Foundation Brush - I don’t use this brush for foundation application as it has too short of bristles for me.

I use it for correctors and cream highlighters.

With these products the brush works real wonders.

Detailer Brush - the smallest brush from the set.

I also use it God-knows-how. Most of all it works for me as an eyeshadow brush for the crease and lower lids. I also can use it for the lower lash line.

Buffing Brush - for me this is a perfect dry-textures blending brush.

Yet most of the time I use it to apply my blushes with.

The bristles are uber soft and thanks to the round cut they apply the products very delicately.

How to take care of these brushes:

I wash them once every 3-4 days. I do it the following way:

1. At first I wash the brushes with warm water;

2. Then I pour some kid’s shampoo to them, distributing it all over the bristles;

3. I leave the brushes with a shampoo on for some time and then rinse with warm water;

4. I also apply some hair conditioner to the brushes after washing to eliminate the effect that the hard water can bring to the bristles. I also rinse it with warm water.

5. I dip the brushes (two thirds of the bristles) into a sanitizer and again rinse with water;

6. I put the brushes onto a cotton cloth horizontally. Usually they take a night to dry out.

After each use I always wipe the brushes with wet antibacterial wipes.

My experience with the Real Techniques Core Collection Hand Cut Hair Design Makeup Brush Set and my impressions of use:

I’ve been using these brushes for 3 months and after the first use I fell for them. They apply all the products so delicately that it becomes impossible to apply too much. The brushes never shed. Even after some washes they still look like new. No shedding, no color fading, no shape changes.

The brushes are densely packed and have a perfect cut. They are super convenient to use.

I recommend you to pay attention to them, as these are the best brushes in my collection.
