Hey beauties!
I’ll start with a small story: recently I bought an eyeshadow palette from an unknown brand and was so upset with the quality, pigmentation etc. that I didn’t even have a desire to buy any other palette to change it out. Recently I was scrolling the internet when I saw the swatches of the hyped palettes by Tarte, Urban Decay, ABH, Too Faced and others. I was so captivated by the pigmentation and color payoff that I couldn’t get rid of a thought of buying one of those palettes. You see, I used to buy the mass market eyeshadows and those were way more expensive. But when I found out that professional makeup artists love and use these palettes a lot, that was the moment I decided to buy one for sure.
The next question that arose was which of the palettes to buy since I could only give a go to one. At first I wanted to buy the Tarte Tarteist Pro Palette but the reviews were rather controversial and decided not to risk it. Then I wanted to buy the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette. I already was about to buy it, especially imagining all the makeup looks that would compliment my green eyes. But it was until the moment when I saw the Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills. Well, thousands of rave reviews + hundreds of purchases of this palette on the Sephora.com and the colors that would compliment my fair skin and hair made me buy 2 palettes of it at once!
Let’s finally have a look at this gorgeous palette!
The packaging looks high-end: expensive, pink but not very practical.
I usually store my palettes in the carton boxes they are usually packed in, but still I managed to stain the palette with eyeshadows, fingerprints and Got knows what else.
The palette looks magnificent inside. The good quality mirror + an included brush for application and blending. What luck! Even though the quality of the brush isn’t so great as the quality of the eyeshadows, I still like the brush for application. But the brush for blending has bristles that are too thick and thorny.
The palette is bright with berry-like and brown colors as well as with neutral shades.

Pigmentation: A+
The consistency of the eyeshadows isn’t chalky, on the contrary, it’s soft and velvety to the touch. I did all the swatches with my finger but believe me the color pay off from the brush is also fantastic. Since the products are super pigmented, may I advise applying the products with a lesser amount and then add some more if needed. Otherwise you won’t avoid dusting and fallout, alas.
And now it’s time to show you my makeups. How all these rusty red color will look on me? Let’s have a look and find out!
The eyeshadows are super easy to blend and layer. If you are afraid to get a color too bright on your eyes, then start from the neutral shades and then add the brighter ones.
Look how stunning the Realgar color looks on my movable lid along with the muted Primavera:

This palette is great not only for evening makeups but for day wear as well:
My verdict is 5 stars out of 5
After I bought this palette, I fell for the matte eyeshadows. I always wear them over the UD eyeshadow base and they stay on the entire working day of 12 hours. They never crease or fade. Now I like these bright red, rusty, berry-like eyeshadows on my eyes. Unfortunately I can’t wear bright makeup at the office, but for a night out or a party, the colors are insane!
I recommend this palette and I’ve never regretted buying it. With this product I can create so many makeup looks.
Thank you for you attention and don’t forget to give this review a thumbs up if you found it informative.
