I decided to start our acquaintance with The Balm Balm Desert Bronzer\Blush.
A first I wanted to acquire the famous Bahama Mama Bronzer but I was afraid it would be too dark for my fair skin.

The packaging of the Balm products are always unusual and eye-catching. It’s was a bit strange to see a cardboard case instead of a plastic one.
There is a square mirror in the case. It’s not really that necessary but let it be.
I love that the refill is so big and can be used with any brush.
About the shade:
I made the swatches of the bronzer on my hand, and it was my mistake. It seems beige-brown both in the refill and on the hand, without any reddish undertone. But on my face, however, it’s a bit too pink for a bronzer.
The tiny shimmer particles make my skin glow and look fresh.
I have no complaints about the quality of the product, it justifies the price completely. The pigmentation and color payoff are great, which means that I won’t run out of the blush soon.
Before the application one should remove the excess of the bronzer from the brush in order to achieve a more natural effect.
The formula is silky, and feels amazing on the skin.
The product is fragrance-free.
It’s blendable and leaves no spots on the skin. You can achieve both a natural effect and a visible one for photoshootings.
The durability is awesome even on oily skin. The bronzer doesn’t fade throughout the day.

After the first try I was very upset. This pinkish undertone didn’t look like tan at all!
I decided to use it as a blush only. And actually I’m not thrilled with the shade.
Optionally, this bronzer may be used by those with darker skin and pink undertones. In this case it can look like a fresh tan.
I regret that I bought this without a second thought. I should have read more reviews and tested it longer, since it’s not a cheap product. If you know where to get a mini-size blusher, you’d better start with one.
