Today I want to tell you about the lip product.
I adore matte lipsticks, as they are well pigmented, and if they don’t dry out my lips, oh, that means eternal love. And no matter how strange this could sound, but the matte lipsticks by The Balm have completely lived up to my expectations!
I’m raving about their Lip Gloss line, especially about the Snap color, as it’s one of the most compliment receiving colors for me. So, I was hoping that the new matte line would be just as great as the previous one.
The color Charming, which I chose from the range of all the others, is very difficult to describe. It’s a dim red-brown color with light plummy undertones. It looks different in different lighting.
And actually, the color isn’t the only advantage of this lipstick.
I can count the advantages endlessly:
-the lipstick covers the natural pigment of my lips from the first layer, and at the same time, it’s very easy to layer
-the product can be easily used even without a contour lip pencil, as with the help of the soft applicator you’ll get the ideal lip contour
-the product doesn’t flow out of the edges. Straight after the application and about one minute after, the lipstick will have a creamy finish, but then, it’ll become completely matte. But the main advantage of this product among all others, is that it doesn’t have the totally dry matte finish, but a beautiful and velvety one. The lips don’t look plain, on the contrary, the color gives them additional volume.
-the lipstick doesn’t imprint on cups and it won’t stain your beau:). It’ll live through snacks, but fade away on the junction, if you eat greasy food. But, a quick touch-up will save the situation immediately.
-as many other matte lipsticks, this one requires special care of the lips. My advice is to use a lip scrub, take care of your lips, get rid off the flaking, and only then, apply the matte lipstick. This product won’t define the lips' problems that much, but I think, it’s better to spend another 2 minutes to take care of your lips and you’ll love the result of how the lipstick looks very much.
-the product feels very comfortable on the lips. It doesn’t dry my lips, and the most important is that it can be easily removed with a micellar water. And my lips don’t look dried out after that, and don’t require a great amount of the lip balm after.
I think, that's pretty enough for this lipstick to become one of the favorites and even to get the first place here. I just adore this color, and I’m 100% delighted with the characteristics of it and the result which I see in the mirror. I really recommend buying it.
