Hi sweeties!
Recently I have found a new favorite brand, i.e. The Balm. I want to test everything out there ASAP! That’s how the Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude palette appeared in my makeup bag! It totally won me over!
The design of the packaging is the highlight of the brand. Each product comes in a paper package with adorable and pretty pin up girls and cowboys on it. Everything is bright and vibrant.
By the way, the material is very thick and of good quality.
The palette opens up 360 degrees and has a big and handy mirror.
The Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude palette consists of 9 matte shades.
All the shades have a soft and silky texture, which are highly-pigmented and not dusty.
The payoff is great both on bare skin and on an eyeshadow base.
The colors blend out perfectly and look so gorgeous in every makeup. The dark shades can leave a little bit of fallout.
Matt Johnson is cold dark-gray. It looks amazing applied as a line and used in smokey eyes.
Matt Garcia is a fabulous warm dark-brown shade with a red undertone. It’s perfect for the crease, inner corner of the eye and for the whole eyelid.
Matt Malloy is a matte white shade. Have you ever seen such a cool, soft and so perfectly pigmented white color? It looks like a pearl beneath the ocean!
Matt Rosen is a warm orange-brown hue. The shade is gorgeous and very complicated. I use it frequently for the crease and for blending.
Matt Wood is a dark chocolate color. It’s very deep and intense.
Matt Singh is a soft beige-rose. The shade is a perfect nude lip color and a nice eyeshadow base.
Matt Abdul is gray-lilac-beige. It’s great for the crease, for the whole eyelid and for blending. It’s actually great for everything, as it’s really versatile.
Matt Lombardi is sandy-beige, perfect for the upper eyelid and as an eyeshadow base.
Matt Hung is violet taupe, which has gray, lilac and violet undertones.
Now let’s move onto makeup looks created with this palette:
Here, I’ve applied Matt Lombardi to the upper eyelid, plus a shade from another palette and Matt Rosen to the crease.
Here, I’ve used Matt Malloy for the inner corner of my eye, Matt Singh to the upper eyelid, Matt Hung to the outer corner of my eye and Matt Abdul for blending out.
Matt Abdul is used for the upper eyelid,
Matt Hung for blending out and
Matt Johnson for the lash line and lower eyelid.
The Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude palette positively surprised me with its quality and pigmentation. This product even blew my favorite Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes out of the water!
