Hello there!
I went hog-wild and kept on buying and telling you about my precious highlighters. So this time it’s a beautiful limited edition Becca Royal Glow turn.
The highlighter was released in May 2018 and I deem that it coincided with the wedding of the royal Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. But this information wasn’t officially announced anywhere but the naming just shines through. Hence we can see such a royal packaging with the blue crown print on it.
The pack gives some product details on including the list of ingredients.
Made in the USA
Size - 7 g
I want to note and express my respect to the Becca brand which doesn’t produce its minis and limited edition products in China, so I have to say that all the products are of an amazing quality.
As for the highlighter itself, it comes with a standard sized compact which is silver and made of plastic. And of course, I can’t help but mention the mirror here. It’s really big and quality. I use the Becca highlighters rather frequently, even when I’m doing my makeup at home.
As always, Becca presents us with the most beautiful refill of its limited edition launch. For a couple of days, I couldn’t even dare to touch it and was just looking at all that beauty. Now, it’s been already two months since I started using it and still, the crown looks decent as it turned out to be pretty durable.
For a long time, I couldn’t dare buy this highlighter. I couldn’t find good quality swatches on the internet and those which I managed to find showed the product as too dark, obviously positioning it as a golden bronzer. And even though I desperately wanted it to join my collection, I still wasn’t ready to pay the full price of it. Until one day, when a makeup store had 40% off and I purchased it.
So, what did I see when I finally received my order? I understood that all the swatches which I saw on the net before were crap! The photo above shows the true color of the product (at least those three my devices). The highlighter is really golden, yet still it is a tad duochrome-like and secondly, it doesn’t have any copper pigment to it. Just a pleasant golden shade.
Here’s a comparison with the other highlighters from my collection, which look almost the same as this one. I adore golden highlighters and I do really wear them on a daily basis. So once I saw that I received one more golden highlighter to my stash, I was utterly happy that I didn’t receive what I saw on the net.
And all that taking into account that gorgeous powder texture of this highlighter, which is so silky and fuss-free blending-wise. The product comes with a little bit bigger grain than the permanent collection but there’s still nothing criminal there. The formula doesn’t have any chunky gleaming bits or anything. The powder doesn’t go dusty and I appreciate the way it sits on the brush.
I’ve already mentioned the blending and said that it’s perfect. The product is possible to build-up if needed and you’ll see a chic pure casting of glow which will be super long lasting.
Do I love this product?
Of course, I do! I adore each and every highlighter from Becca that I own and I truly believe that they are the best in the marker out there. (but this is my subjective opinion for sure).
Do I recommend it for purchasing?
Undoubtedly I do. It may not flatter those Snow White-skinned girls only.
Thanks for your attention!
