Pros: a little goes a long way, camouflages the dark under eye circles, doesn’t dry out my skin, evens out the skin tone
Cons: creasing, pricey, whitening for my under eyes

I bought the BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector, 4.5 g. after reading thousands of rave reviews and because I really wanted to try out the products by BECCA for a long time.

This corrector has become a hit by the brand and there are so many wow reviews of it on the internet.

Since I have a very problematic and dark under eye area, it was a must for me to buy this product. Smile

Product says the following:

A full-coverage corrector that brightens the appearance of under-eye darkness and lifts with light—it’s like eight hours of sleep in a jar.

Infused with ultra-fine, light-reflecting illuminators, this rich, luminescent cream instantly brightens the look of under-eye darkness. It smooths the look of fine lines around the eyes, without settling into them. Backlight technology reflects light to draw attention away from lines and wrinkles, creating a lifting effect. This formula also perfectly preps and evens skin tone for concealer application.

Design: the product retails in a rather heavy glass jar with a screw plastic top lid of pink and pearl color.

The corrector itself is a buttery product which melts once it touches my skin and smears well. The color is pink and shimmer infused (these are actually light reflecting particles).

Ingredients:

Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Polybutene, Rhus Succedanea Fruit Wax, Kaolin, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Barium Sulfate, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Squalane, Zinc Chloride, Aluminum Hydroxide, Trihydroxystearin, Hydrogenated Polycyclopentadiene, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Sodium Lauroyl Aspartatel, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Hexylene Glycol. May Contain/Peut Contenir [+/-]: Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499).

As we can judge from the list of the ingredients, aside many difficult to make out components, there are also a lot of wholesome ones like Ricinus Communis (Castor), Rhus Succedanea, Tocopherol, Squalane etc.

Result: I can remember that very day when I applied this corrector under my eyes for the first time and was absolutely shocked with what I saw in the mirror. You see, the product made my under eyes look very white. Since I didn’t have any desire to change my dark under eye circles to white under eye circles, I had nothing to do but to finish doing my makeup. And only after that, I understood that the corrector looked rather harmonious and well in my makeup. And considering the fact that the product is nourishing and isn’t drying to my under eyes, well, it’s a dream corrector then.

I also noticed that my under eye area looks good with this product on and there are no dark under eye circles or spots visible.

BUT still there’s one thing that really disappoints me. The problem is that the corrector creases. I understand that the creasing happens because of the consistency of the product. But, the problem can be solved by dabbing motions over the product. I also CAN’T recommend this product for those people who have big fine lines or wrinkles in the eye area, as it’ll be a torture for you to dab the product all the time.

I guess it’ll work fine for those with fair skin tone and for the others I deem, it’ll be better to use a regular concealer, as this corrector is really whitening.

As for me, I must say that it’s a good product. It was a pleasant meeting with the brand and I’ve actually already bought another product to try which is the Shimmering Skin Perfector in the color Moonstone.

As for the spending, I can say the following - the product really goes a long way and if you’re not sure on which size to buy, opt for the smaller size then.

Price: $32 but there’s always a chance to find a mini which costs cheaper.
