After watching YouTube videos where they showed and sang praises to this product, I decided that I definitely need it too.
I’ve been using it for a year now. Actually, before buying it, I tried to find as much info as possible just to get what it was for and whether I needed it at all.
But there wasn’t anything certain. I haven’t found any profound info. The only thing that I got was that they said it wasn’t a concealer and it wouldn’t work to conceal dark circles.
So, I’ll tell you what it’s for and how to use it. Where to apply and in general, whether you need to splurge on it or not.
So, let’s start!
Benefit Ooh la Lift
Packaging
It’s absolutely inspired by the Benefit brand. So girlish and cute. The product itself comes packed with a tube and a sponge inside.
The sponge is soft and it has a lot of short bristles. I like using it to apply the product.
Consistency- It’s thick and silicone by touch.
Color- Pink and white, with an abundance of micro-macro shimmer bits, which really illuminate my skin, thanks to the light reflection.

WHAT FOR
I bought this product as a concealer primer. I wanted the process of my concealer application to go easier, increase its wear time and protect my gentle under eye skin with a thin silicone protective film.
Application
Honestly, no two times are ever the same. Everything depends on when you apply it (I mean before or after your foundation). So, the Ooh la Lift can crease with small clumps. It’s better to apply the product over clean, moisturized skin. For example, if I apply it over my Guerlain foundation, it starts dissolving my foundation for a cream and a base.
As for the application, apply it all over your under eye area, as though applying an eye cream and then dab it with your fingers or a beauty blender.
The product doesn’t take long to set, so apply your makeup consistently: one eye is done, only after that start doing another.
The product makes my skin appear whiter. But even if I apply my concealer over it, I’ll still see dark circles and small veins.
PROTECTION from DRYING MY SKIN OUT
Honestly, I haven’t noticed anything like that. The product is difficult to use, that’s why I hardly ever reach it or forget about it at all. My under eye skin is in good condition (I’m 23 now), but still I believe that even at that age I have to use skin care products, especially when I wear long-wearing makeup.
PERFORMANCE OF THE PRODUCT
The product is applied solo.
I applied it and blended out.
With lightweight concealer.
Here I powdered it
This benefit Ooh la Lift + a thick coverage concealer + set with a powder
Well, all in all, the product cracks to nothing. I didn’t get anything that I expected from it.
It doesn’t work as a concealer primer. The product can crease solo or it can make my foundation or concealer crease over it. When I set it with powder, all that cakeyness becomes too detectable.
No protection of my skin. I haven’t noticed anything of that kind.
In my book, this product is just a waste of money.
I don’t recommend it…
Thanks for your attention! Have a nice day
Yours, Kate.
