I don’t advise you to waste your money on this blotting stick!
It doesn’t work at all. This is what the product promises:
An instant oil-blotting stick for a mattified complexion.
This instant oil-blotting stick with tiny invisible blotting spheres mattifies shine for up to six hours after application. The specially designed triangular tip targets shiny zones—the sides of your nose, forehead, and chin—for a smooth, flawless finish. Blend the POREfessional primer all over face to minimize the appearance of pores then target oily spots with license to blot. Sweep on agent zero shine powder for all over shine control.
In a consumer panel survey on 30 women over 7 days:
- 100% saw continuous mattifying action
- 97% said it helps minimize the look of pores
- 100% said it absorbs excess surface oil
But in reality the product doesn’t affect my skin at all.
It doesn’t minimize the appearance of my pores and the skin relief looks the same with or without this product.
During application the stick really mattifies my skin and sops up the oily sheen (though there isn’t any oily sheen on my skin in the morning when I apply it straight after washing my face and daytime cream application).
All my foundations (I have about 6-7 tubes, my BB creams as well as foundations) are all of different consistency and coverage and they all apply well over this stick. I also haven’t noticed any wear time changes with or without this product on my skin.
And now a few words about the mattifying effect.
There isn’t any, actually. The thing is that I have an oily T-zone and no matter whether I applied this stick or not it starts shining with oil sometime after I applied my makeup.
I tried to use this stick over my makeup to blot the oily shine that was already there on my face and you know what? Nothing happened.
This blotting stick doesn’t work on me at all! I’m very disappointed with this Benefit The Porefessional: License To Blot Stick. I wish I bought my trusty MAC Blot Powder once again instead of this product.
I don’t recommend it!
