I’d like to share my thoughts on the popular Benefit They're Real! Mascara with you.
It’s quite typical for a mascara, there is nothing out of the ordinary. Initially the mascara was packed in a package made of cardboard.
It’s noteworthy that the cap is glossy but it doesn’t stain so easily. The limiter is awesome, because it doesn’t pick up too much of the product at a time, so it’s hard to make clumps on the lashes. Also, I don’t have to remove any stains from my upper eyelid with a cotton swab after use, which is a rare occasion.
The brush may actually surprise you at first, especially the tip as it reminds me of a fir cone. The brush is thick and has unusually short bristles. The mascara is not even noticeable on them.
Frankly speaking, I wasn’t taken by the wand at first, but it turned out to be really convenient to use. Thanks to this tip with a ‘fir cone’, you can easily apply mascara even to the finest lashes of the inner corners of your eyes.
I can’t say that I’m totally in love with this product, but it’s a good mascara for everyday use. It looks very natural on my lashes and I would even say too natural, because it does lengthen and separate my lashes, but doesn’t give them volume. They're Real! Mascara curls my lashes, which is definitely a plus.
Below you can see the before/after close-up.
Life hack: If you lack volume with your lashes, fill in between the lashes. In the picture above there is no volume, but it is different in the total look. Look how noticeable my eyes are now!
The mascara wears really well. It neither flakes nor leaves any stains under my eyes. More than that, it washes off with any makeup remover easily.
Overall thoughts: If you don’t find spider lashes trendy and are not much into dramatic volume and love natural-looking lashes, you're gonna like this mascara.
