Lately, I became hooked on high-end makeup. I mean, I don’t buy loads of it but I do already have several beautiful items in my collection. Honestly, I don’t feel sorry when I splurge because I want to treat myself too.

Shade: Liquid Mercury

How to use:

Sweep or smudge across eyelid for instant impact, and layer shades and textures to create a range of standout looks. To intensify, dampen brush before picking up shadow. Try combining wet and dry application for added dimension—just allow wet shadow to dry before adding another layer.

Bobbi Brown makeup has always been interesting to me because it’s trouble to buy it in my town and I have to order it online.

A huge thanks to beauty-bloggers who describe all the pros and cons of this or that product when I can already feel carried away and find myself in front of the computer, buying makeup.

Let’s start with the packaging review…

• just a regular black glossy box with the white branded sign on it. All the necessary info like the ingredients and so on is also on here.

• When I still hadn't opened the box I found myself thinking on why it was so light. In the picture, I saw heavy and golden metal… But in life, it is plastic.

  

To tell you the truth, that’s a flaw for me! For $38 you usually expect something heavy with a good magnet closure, like from Burberry, for example.

But here, the closure is far from being magnet and it’s like from affordable brands. I was about to be disappointed when I remembered that Bobbi Brown is professional makeup and the packaging isn’t the feature of it.

And if we forget about the cheapest plastic and mediocre closure, the compact doesn't look bad. Besides, for 2 months of use, it still appears brand new.

• Inside it has a good mirror and the eyeshadow is closed with a plastic liner. I wish they also put a small brush in it. But on the other hand, I don’t think it may would fit…

About the eyeshadows…

• I needed a wearable shade to accentuate my eyes but still not to pop in general...

  

• In the compact, the product deceitfully appears too dark but if I apply it dry, it can be packed well and I can go for the desired color depth. The maker also advises to apply it wet but I’m not a fan of this technique.

Naturally, you can find an endless amount of dupes of it, even from the affordable brands. But if you want to pamper yourself with a splurge, why not to turn to Bobbi Brown?This product is truly good and I can see why they praise it so much.

I applied it over my nude eyelids with a little bit of eye cream on and it stayed for 5 hours on me showing no creasing. Isn’t that a miracle?Highly recommend it for purchasing! =)
