Today I’d like to tell you about my bad romance with the popular nowadays Bobby Brown - Natural Brow Shaper & Hair Touch Up. Applause to the hero of the review:

COLOR SELECTION:
As for the color selection here they offer the following shades:
✔ RICH BROWN
A rich red brown.
✔ AUBURN
A brownish red.
✔ BLONDE
A blond brown.
✔ BRUNETTE
A rich warm brown.
✔ MAHOGANY
A dark ash brown
As you can see there’s something to be puzzled about. Below we’ll speak only about the shade that I chose for myself.
RICH BROWN COLOR:
I opted for this rich red brown shade, no matter how terrifying it might seem, especially taking into consideration the fact that I’m a blonde.

Actually, I needed a product to wear with my evening makeup, so I really wanted it to be rather bright. In the swatch the color seemed nice and wearable. It looked as though there was no red pigment to it at all. The shade is called Rich Brown and this is exactly what it is in real life. No red color.

As for the pigmentation, it seems to be kind of a hybrid of medium and sheer coverage. But that’s more an advantage for me, so I can be sure that I’ll never overdo it or apply too much.
The inner stopper will never let the superfluous amount of the formula sit on the brush when you take it out, which is also very pleasant.
As for the gel itself, well, it’s easy to apply to my hairs as well as skin, which is again a good pro. Neat results is the most important factor.
The brush of the product is pretty convenient and small. No frills about it:
STAYING POWER:
It’s good. The product stays on my brows the entire day and in general I even had a chance to test it out by rubbing my eyebrows and nothing bad happened with the formula. Yet at the same time, the product is easy to wash off with water.
MY IMPRESSIONS:
Unfortunately, for me this buy turned out to be rather useless. In my case I can’t use it alone, even though I still believe that it’s wrong to blame the product for not taming my naturally sparse brows.
I was hoping to get the effect of bushy and natural-looking brows with it, but in vain.
And when I use this gel solo, my brows look literally funny then. They look as though they are poor and sloppy - it feels like the product accentuates all my brow disadvantages, which are mostly in their shape and thickness. Have a look at it yourself:
It feels like my brows are screaming: “Look how pathetic we are!”
All in all, if your brows aren’t thick and shaped, like mine, then it’s a waste of time to hope on this product. It won’t work wonders with sparse brows ever.
If you don’t care about its price tag and money splurging, then you can buy this gel as a treat and pair it with some other eyebrow products. Here it works pretty well, I should say:
it keeps my brows in check
it makes them look voluminous (which is so rare, because usually eyebrow pencils make them too flat), creating beautiful natural careless results
the staying power is on fleek
it doesn’t look red or anything of the kind.
In these photos I used this brow gel along with a brow pencil from another brand:

All in all, here the results are much better. My brows don’t look pathetic anymore, comparing to when I used the Bobbi Brown gel solo.
TO BUY OR NOT TO BUY:
My dear friends, as for me, I doubt that I’d ever buy this product again. Not because of it being bad or anything, but just because there’s no difference if I wear this gel on my brows, or use the one that’s cheaper. I don’t see any point in splurging on it. I can even dare to assess it with 4 stars and I really believe that my rate is objective:
the gel makes my brows expressive;
it brings some color to them,
it sets my brow hairs
it stays on well
it doesn’t provoke any allergic or any other reactions,
- I can’t see any point in taking off more stars, because my natural eyebrows aren’t of good shape or thickness. And even though I assess it with 4 stars, I still can’t recommend the product for purchasing. You can find a better eyebrow powder or pomade cheaper (after all, they are more important in brows filling in, in comparison with the gel). I think that a more affordable brow gel can also set the brows and keep them in check as well...
