I like writing about foundations, because I think that skin tone is one of the most important things in makeup, so it should always look flawless. After using Lumene CC cream, I’ve decided to try this Bourjois version also.
I gravitate towards CC creams more than BB, because they have the same light formula, but the coverage is the way to go
Let’s find out everything about Bourjois CC cream.
PACKAGING. It’s a soft tube with a narrow nozzle that reminds me of the Garnier BB cream. The foundation is quite liquid, that’s why some of the product stays in the cap sometimes
No. 31 Ivory is the lightest shade in the color range. It has a yellow undertone, therefore it won’t work well for girls with fair skin. Actually, the color range is available in dark shades mostly, which are good for tanned skin.
The FORMULA is liquid, fluid and super light. It doesn’t feel oily.
The TEXTURE is even and smooth. I shake the tube before use, though not always. Due to the liquid texture, the product spreads out well, but it’s a bit streaky. I blend it out with a special brush. The cream doesn’t absorb into my skin instantaneously, so I have enough time to apply it properly or add more coats.
COVERAGE. Light to medium. The foundation evens out my skin, but doesn’t cover my redness or raccoon eyes with a single coat. Usually I apply one layer of the product, plus a concealer for certain areas.
The FINISH is a bit dewy and luminous, but it looks very natural. For the foundation to stay longer, I set it with a mattifying powder.
WEAR TIME. In my book, it’s not the best. I wish it could stay longer on me. Bourjois fails, when compared to Lumene CC cream. However, you should take into account that Bourjois is more moisturizing than the latter.
The floral-fruity SCENT with some powdery notes is so nice!
THE FEEL. I like that I don’t feel the foundation on my skin. It has a light texture that doesn’t look like a mask. Moreover, it moisturizes my skin well. Yeah, it’s not a long-lasting cream, but it’s alright for such products. It’s perfect for winter!
I recommend Bourjois CC cream, but be careful when choosing the shade
Have a nice day and happy shopping!
