Burberry lipsticks are my own nervous ticks. It’s been a year since I started dreaming of having one for assessing all its beauty and quality. And finally, the sales are here and they pushed me for the purchase.
So, today we’ll speak about the hydrating Burberry Kisses Lipstick.
A rich blend of satin-finish pigments and shiny polymers gives luminous colour brilliance, while the weightless formula delivers a customisable make-up result: a single kiss of colour gives understated luminosity, two or three kisses give intense depth and vibrancy.
I’ll be banal but I have to say that this babe looks like that very luxury that you’re looking for.
The cardboard box with the branded shade is adorned with their chic lettering. I can see that very English luxury everywhere about the product - the gray steel casing with a checked design, as well as glossy-mirrored cover.
The casing is very heavy and offers a magnet closure. The stick itself is also adorned with the burberry design.
I can carry on looking and admiring it endlessly long. But still, I’d better pass over to the product quality description.
It’s light and a tad sweet. But it doesn’t annoy me at all. I can make out sweet vanilla notes to it. It smells of something bitter, like the YSL lipstick.
It’s lightweight and airy, but my shade #89 Rose Blush is pigmented enough to cover up my natural lip color on the first go. With one layer the product blooms like gentle nude. Two layers cover up my lip pigment to the fullest.
Well, I wouldn’t say that the lipstick from the Kisses collection is a super emollient lip balm. But I can see that it doesn’t dry out my lips either. Moreover, the lipstick visually smoothes out my lip relief and never accentuates flaking.
Infused with Burberry's signature blend of rosehip, tea, and lavender, the whisper-light texture glides on with supreme comfort and gives continuous hydration.
It’s soft and satin. Even though the formula doesn’t have any shiny pigments to it, I can still say that it shows a glossy finish.
Like many other similar lipsticks, this one from Burberry from the hydrating Kisses collection doesn’t stand out with its extended wear time. After 2 or maybe 2.5 hours, the pigment will vanish from your lips. But it vanishes delicately and doesn’t feather.
Shade #89 Rose Blush
This shade can appear absolutely differently depending on the number of layers and lights. One coat is a gentle nude which offers a good balance between cool and warm undertones. It’s surprising to note that under artificial lights, the lipstick appears more cool-toned, but under natural light, it seems to be warmer. Daytime can even reveal a good portion of brown color of this Rose Blush lipstick.
#Rose Blush shade is rather versatile, which I’ll wear regardless of the season.
Price: $34.00 on the official site, but it can be found discounted.
The Burberry lipstick from the hydrating Kisses collection has become my favorite among all the other lip products which I possess. It offers a beautiful shade, it’s comfortable to wear and after all, it’s so good to look at and hold in my hands. I know it for sure that soon, I’ll replenish my collection with one more shade from this line!
And I wish you the same!
Have an enjoyable shopping day and stay in a great mood! =)
