As a big fan of matte lipsticks, I couldn’t help but buy this one 
I love Clinique products, and I also own a foundation by this brand. I’ve read a lot of positive reviews about these lipsticks before I purchased one.

The lip color comes in a cardboard box.
The tube is handy, little and doesn’t take up much space in your makeup bag.
I have no complaints about the applicator. It colors my lips good enough and takes as much product out of the tube as needed. It provides comfortable application and doesn’t tickle my lips. I only need to dip the applicator once to cover my lips.
I’ve chosen the vivid juicy shade 05 Sweetheart pop. In the sun, it has a pink undertone. Indoors, it’s rather raspberry.
The formula is thick and creamy, pleasant to apply plus I don’t feel it on my lips. It doesn’t dry my lips out, so that's a big advantage.
Even though the lip color is presented as matte, that’s not true! There is still a glossy finish.

The lip color isn’t patchy, and I’m thankful for it.
Yes, in this photo it’s applied a bit sloppy.
I’m also disappointed with its lasting power. The lip color leaves stains on whatever it touches. It can’t live through a snack and I have to touch up. But at least it disappears evenly, without falling out in patches.
Conclusion: I think it’s a bit overpriced. I should have added a few more dollars and bought my favorite Lime Crime, which is worth its price. I take two stars off because it’s not matte and absolutely not long-lasting.
