Pros: for natural makeup, good quality puff, it applies with a seamless veil, mattifying effect, stays put the entire day, visually diminishes skin blemishes
Cons: can’t find any

Hey beauties!

If you don’t know what to ask for in a present, then I’ll tell you a product you’ll be delighted about with a probability of 99,99999%!

Meet the CHANEL POUDRE UNIVERSELLE LIBRE.

About my skin: 28 yo, small fine lines, prone to acne, combo type with oily T-zone.

Price: $52 (though there’s always a chance to find it discounted)

Weight: 30g

Made by: Chanel (France)

Product promises:

A loose powder that evens out and mattifies the skin without emphasizing lines. An ultra-fine, smoothed and evanescent texture. A transparent halo that prolongs makeup hold.

Result: a radiant and naturally even complexion all day long.

Adapted to all skin types.

A few words about the ingredients:

  • Light-reflecting and colour-correcting pigments for a luminous complexion and optical correction of imperfections.

  • Silica microbeads for a mattifying effect.

Talc, Nylon-12, Silica, Lauroyl lysine, Magnesium Myristate, Boron Nitride, Phenyl Trimethicone, Aluminum hydroxide, Potassium Sorbate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Parfum, CI 77007, CI 77491, CI 77499, CI 77891, Mica

When I saw this scary word “SILICONE” I was really upset, because my skin is prone to clogging. I was afraid that the powder would clog my pores a lot. And taking the ball before the bound, I have to say that nothing of that kind has ever happened with my skin in the 3 months of using of the product.

I guess that’s because of the amount of the silicone that was used in the product. It’s used here only probably to make the application smooth and gliding, otherwise I’m sure that my skin would react negatively to it.

Package: It’s a plastic branded jar with a screw on top cap. Inside you’ll find a sifter and a good quality cotton puff.

Smell: Oh, I adore the fragrances of their cosmetic products! It’s so subtle and cosmetic-like. Unbelievably pleasant.

Texture: The powder is finely milled and it I can’t see any light-reflecting bits there. It’s like a weightless dust, which I can rub between my fingers and feel its silky texture.

Application and results: The veil ensures an ultra lightweight coverage and really natural looking effect. It’s just ideal for a daytime makeup. Even though the color correction and light reflecting particles aren’t visible, they still do their job nicely: my skin looks as though lit from within and there's also such a noble and delicate glow present.

Of course this powder isn’t to camouflage severe skin problems, but only to refresh and enliven the complexion.

The coverage isn’t thick: you can use the powder to set your makeup, because it always applies so beautifully and delicately that you can be sure that you’ll never end up having cakey complexion.

It doesn’t accentuate flaking or fine lines. It seems as though it polishes your skin and makes it look satin smooth.

My color of the product is called 20 CLAIR and it looks almost sheer, adjusting to the skin color I currently have. I’m sure that it’ll look gorgeous over any skin tone. It has a unique feature of looking the same as my skin, at the same time giving good matte results and diminishing of small blemishes.

All in all there are 4 shades of the powder in the collection. Mine is the fairest, but there are also shades which have more golden or pink undertones.

In the swatch you can see how delicately and natural the powder looks on my skin.

The finish is matte. The powder doesn’t travel down or get smudged during the day.

For me the mattifying properties of a powder are always important. And here I can say that the powder keeps the oily shine at bay for 5-6 hours without any touch-ups. Within that time my skin looks as though it was just powdered.

The spending is low. This is the first time when I see a loose power with a low spending! I mean 30g is a lot and I don’t have to use much of it to powder my entire face. And taking into consideration the fact that I don’t have to touch-up every half an hour, the powder is sure to go a super long way!

Of course I do recommend it! It’s just a must-have product for oily and combo skin. There isn’t anything faulty about it at all. The power is uber comfortable and delicate for use!

Thanks for your attention and see you soon!
