Today I’m going to review the Clinique foundation, which is Anti-Blemish Solutions Liquid Makeup meant for problem skin.
This product can be used for combination skin prone to dryness or oiliness.
Keep in mind that Anti-Blemish foundation is not the best option for dry skin. Ever Better Glow foundation will suit better here.
Clinique is a subsidiary of the Estée Lauder Companies. All the products are of high quality, hypoallergenic and non-scented.
In terms of the color range, Anti-Blemish line has 6 shades. I have the first two of them:
01 Alabaster is the lightest shade that suits girls with fair skin perfectly. The undertone is so right. It has neither pink nor a yellow touch.
02 Ivory is a light color that looks well against fair and light skin too.
The foundation comes in a plastic tube with a screw cap. It goes through a narrow nozzle, so the product will go far.
The consistency is quite liquid and distributes on my skin without fuss. Plus, it applies evenly. If you apply it with your fingers, the coverage won’t be so even and smooth. The result is perfect applying it with a duo-fiber brush.
The manufacturer promises a natural coverage and flawless look for problem skin types. It seems to me that that the coverage is quite full there. It covers up all the imperfections and blemishes quite well and applies evenly and thickly.
It contains Salicylic acid, which is a lifesafer for problem skin with inflammation.
Ingredients:
Methyl Trimethicone, Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Talc, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Dimethicone, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Silica, Laminaria nnSaccharina Extract, Calcium Stearate, Isosonyl Isononanoate, Caffeine, Glycerin, Hydroxyapatite, Dimethicone/PEG-10/15 Crosspolymer, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Salicylic Acid, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Triethoxycaprylysilane, Quaternium-90 bentonite, 10-Hydroxydecanoid Acid, Lecithin, Tocopherol, Sodium Chloride, Tromethamine, Propylene Carbonate, Alumina, Disodium Edta, Sodium Citrate, Phenoxyethanol. (May contain: Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Mica)
These ingredients restore the skin balance, which helps reduce the sebum production without breaking the skin moisture balance.
The formula ensures a medium-to-full coverage and covers up pimples, redness and enlarged pores.
Right after application my face looks absolutely ‘flat.’ I use a highlighter and a blush of a natural shade to correct it.
I can’t say how effective this foundation is against breakouts, as I use it very rarely this time of the year and prefer applying it in summer and fall.
It evens out my skin tone and helps disguise fatigue and some grayish pigment of my skin. If you have too many issues with your skin, heavy breakouts and inflammations, this foundation won’t help you to conceal them all completely.
It emphasizes peeling, so this product won’t be good for dry skin either. A liquid formula makes this foundation long-lasting without imparting your face with an oily sheen. The finish is matte.
This foundation is perfect for oily to combination skin type and it performs well when it comes to its main functions.
