I used to have very bad and acne prone skin.
I wish I had thick concealers and foundation to camouflage my skin blemishes when I was a teenager. But at that time I didn’t know anything about them.
If you have problematic skin, you probably know that usual foundations don’t actually work over blemishes and pimples and can’t cover them up. The reddening will still be visible. I was so insecure because of my skin problems.
Then I found out about the concealer by the French brand Make Up For Ever which is fantastic and hides any blemishes. It’s waterproof, which I find very flattering as I love going to the beach and the pool. Everything is good about it, but it is so pricey. Besides, the tube doesn’t go a long way, so I had to say NO to that product.
Even now, when I’ve almost gotten rid of my problems with problematic skin, I do sometimes need a product to cover some skin blemishes like acne scars, small blood vessels, reaction spots or even dark under eye-circles.
And of course I need a product to be THICK and be of a good COVERAGE, as sheer and lightweight coverage I can get even from a usual BB cream.
On the Internet I usually see photos where they use Dermacol foundation to conceal skin blemishes and the result is just wow! I know that the product is made in the Czech Republic. I became very interested in the product and finally decided to order it online. I also found out that it was created especially for cinema makeup artists and later became very popular in Hollywood in the 60s!
The cream was created by cosmeticians and makeup artists. The license was eventually sold to Hollywood.
The product became very popular among Hollywood make-up artists as it was able to camouflage all the skin blemishes.
It contains 50% pigments, which makes it a weapon against skin imperfections. DERMACOL MAKE-UP COVER provides PERFECT COVERAGE even in thin layers and is the perfect corrector for dark under-eye, unpleasant spots and skin blemishes. It completely covers acne, loss of pigmentation, post surgical bruising, tattoos etc. It may be used on the entire face or body for color correction, darkening or lightening the skin tones, and ensuring ideal balance. It is widely used as a professional make-up for photo or film shoots, modeling and for festive occasions.
Sounds great, doesn’t it? That’s why I decided to order the product for myself.
The 30g squeeze tube costs $16-17. It’s affordable compared with the Make Up For Ever concealer.
As for the shades: in the line there are a lot of shades and you’ll definitely find yours.
Since my skin is fair and very thin with blood vessels visible, I opted for the #208 which turned out to be ideal for my skin color.
For you to understand better I’ll attach a photo with some other shades:
The product goes a really long way. Even though the product is called “foundation”, don’t apply it all over your face, as you’ll get a thick mask effect.
I dot this product onto my blemishes and that’s why it goes so long.
Apply your usual foundation or BB cream and only after that dotty application of this product will be the best option.
The Dermacol foundation is very thick, so you’ll need the tiniest bit of it to get a thick coverage. I’ll also advise you to apply the product with your fingers as the dabbing motion and warmth of your finger will work best of all with the texture. I sometimes powder my face with a setting powder after I applied this product, but even without it the product stays put for a long time.
Look at my mole and how the product covered it.
I highly recommend this Dermacol foundation product. Even though it isn’t so easy to work with as the Make Up For Ever Concealer, as the consistency is thick and tricky to apply on the eye area, I still love it and I’m absolutely happy about my purchase!
Boys and girls, if you have problematic skin, then you definitely need to pay attention to this product! I know that it’s very important not to conceal but to treat the problem. But the treatment sometimes takes so much time that we start feeling shy and insecure. Don’t suffer from your problem, treat it and the Dermacol foundation will help you to visually make your skin look very close to being ideal.
