Today the hero of my review is the Estee Lauder Double Matte Oil-Control Pressed Powder.
For quite a while I was using the Clarins Stay Matte powder, which I liked. But the thirst for something new couldn’t leave me alone and I decided to try out this product too.
I want a good coverage from my powder because from time to time I can wear it alone or use to set my makeup. It’s also very important for me that my powder doesn’t settle into my pores or crease throughout the wear.
So, first things first:
⭐️ Design
It’s a cute dark-blue casing with a golden branded logo on the cap. It closes with a tight click. Inside there’s a rather big and handy mirror. The sponge isn’t convenient, though. It picks up too much of the powder, that’s why I’m more into brush application.
⭐️ Smell
It’s barely there and I almost don’t notice it.
⭐️ Texture
The powder is nicely grained. It’s almost undetectable over my skin.
⭐️Results
The product gives very light coverage when I apply it with a brush. But at the same time, it evens out my complexion so well. It smoothes out the appearance of pores or skin crevices. It also doesn’t accentuate faking skin. It requires a touch-up on my cheeks throughout the day. It gives me beautiful and matte coverage, which isn’t dead matte. The powder doesn’t travel down and when I touch-up in the day, it doesn’t look cakey or flat. I almost don’t feel its presence on my skin.
I have it in the color 02 Light-medium, which has a pink undertone. I attach a picture of my face with the powder as well as without it.
In general, I like this powder. It lives up to my expectations and I’m very likely to repurchase. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ For me, it has become one of the best powders out there for a mixed and oily shine-prone skin.
Thanks for your attention! ⭐️
