Today I want to tell you about the new launch by Estee Lauder Double Wear Nude Foundation. I have it in one of the fairest shades 1N2 ECRU.
I’m head over heels with the design of the product. The bottle is made of thick matte glass and will never break if it falls down on the floor, believe me I know what I’m talking about. The top cap is made of plastic which it closes very tightly. The lettering was rather clear though it disappeared over time.
General product info:
Size 30ml
Expires within 24 months
Made in Belgium
The cap is always stained with the product, as there’s no pump provided. You can buy one separately by the way.
If the pump was included I wouldn't have to gather the split foundation over my beauty table each time I use it, as it’s runny.
Swatches:
The consistency of this foundation is super runny. It doesn’t oxidize on the skin.
The finish is dewy with a light coverage, though the texture allows you to layer the product, so you can get a rather good coverage after layering.
You can apply it with all the stuff you have: sponges, brushes and even fingertips.
Let’s look closer at this foundation!
My nude face:
While application:
Only foundation on my face:
How do you find it? I like the finish and coverage. It’s winter now and the product holds up well on my skin even without powder setting. In summer, I guess it won’t hold up so well on my combination skin.
Total look:
The product has SPF 30 to it and a slight hint of fragrance which isn’t chasing. The staying power is about 8-10 hours without setting with powder. I prefer to apply it over a face primer (or pore minimizer). I don’t feel it present on my skin. And I like the way it looks too.
The spending is huge, I presume, as I used this bottle up within 3 months.
It’s a very decent and worthy foundation product!
