Bonjour, Mademoiselle!

The birthday collection of the meteorites by Guerlain made me fall for them right away. They are the tenderest and the most girlish, I think. That was my Idée fixe to buy them. I just needed that jar and that's all.

Guerlain Meteorites Birthday Candle Pearls

The design is amazing. Cute package looks exactly inspired by Guerlain. It makes me feel really pleased.

Inside there’s a metal jar hiding. When I saw it for the first time I was literally screaming with delight. It looks like a beautiful marshmallow, isn’t it? It is airy, gorgeous and is a wonderful vanity adornment. On the top cap you’ll find a branded logo. The package itself is rather heavy, the top cap closes tightly, safely sealing the contents.

They put a small sponge inside the jar to separate the pearls form the top cap. It’s pretty useless for me and the only thing that it does is actually protect the meteorites.

A puff would look way better I think, rather than this piece of rubber which really made the package look less presentable.

Let’s have a look inside the package. What’s it hiding?

The pearls are:

1. Golden - they have the tiniest shimmer to it

2. White-off - they have a pearlescent cast to the formula because of the light reflecting bits to it

3. White - it’s a matte powder. These balls definitely prevail here.

4. Pink - satin shades that make my complexion look very natural.

I was impressed when I saw the results on my skin, you know. My complexion looked super healthy and sleek. There wasn’t any shine, only beautiful glow. I’d say it looked more like a lit from within finish. If you want to shine like a Christmas ball, then you definitely need to apply a half of the jar on your face at once. I did it only once and it was pretty hard for me to get such a result. This is why the product will flatter everyone, even if you have oily skin type.

There are no shimmer particles to the pearls formula, there are only those delicate light diffusing bits, which really make your face look lively and lit from within, but not dead matte. It feels as though my skin revives from these pearls. Like I’ve spent a lot of days by the ocean and ate only tropical fruit. The powder doesn’t make my complexion appear whiter, it only covers it with a lightweight veil.

I use a big and fluffy brush to apply the product to my skin. I like the way it beautifully polishes my skin and the thin coverage it gives. If you use a duo-fibre brush, then the finish will be more glowing, though the product will dust a lot. The powder is too lightweight here and a duo-fibre brush is unlikely to hold it on its bristles.

Aroma - all the Guerlain meteorites smell beautifully. For me they smell of some violets.

In total my makeup with this powder looks as though some fairies flew and dusted their magic powder over my skin.
