The design of the lipstick is super cool. I like absolutely everything about it - starting from a pink box with stars on it and finishing with the design of the tube itself.
By the way, on the box you can find short product info and the list of ingredients.
The tube with the lipstick is rather heavy, which is obvious as it’s made of glass. But the volume is 5.8ml
The top cap is made of pink plastic decorated with stars as well as the box that the lipstick was in.
The applicator is doe-foot. It’s very furry and soft.
It’s rather big though and I find it less convenient to use.
The most difficult is to outline my lips with it.
My lipstick is in the color Unicorn Blood. It’s a bright and bold color that won’t be liked by everybody. But if you admire red colors then you’ll definitely like it too.
The product is rather runny in consistency and I even thought that it’ll apply patchy on my lips but in reality the lippie gives good and opaque coverage on the first go. You may also apply the second layer for a better pigmentation and opacity.
The Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick visually looks matte and feels rather comfortable on my lips: it isn't tightening and there’s no nasty film on my lip either.
After application it dries down in about 3 minutes but still it doesn’t dry out completely. Once I accidentally touch my lips with my hand, the lipstick smudges. By the way, it stains everything - cups, beloved, etc.
In general the lippie stays on my lips for about 6 or 7 hours. If I have a meal, it’ll fade from the inside of the mouth but it’ll be very simple to touch-up. I appreciate that the lipstick doesn’t crumble during wear.
Since the color is bright, it requires precise application and lip lining.
But even if I use a lip liner I still can fail to outline my lips beautifully and if in life this will be barely visible, then in the photos the crooked lines will be a distinguishing and popping feature of the photo.
All in all, the product isn’t bad yet I can’t say I’m head over heels with it.
By the way, the collection offers a great color selection: nude as well as bold and outrageous colors. I advise you to have a look at these lippies!
