I guess that I’ve already told you that I can’t imagine my life without highlighters. Today I’m reviewing one of them - Jouer Cosmetics Powder Highlighter (Rose Gold Collection).
Jouer Cosmetics is an American brand that is becoming more and more popular all over the world.
The product is housed into a small mirrored compact that eagerly collects my fingerprints. The plastic material is thick and of good quality. The top lid is a little bit tight though it opens up great and closes with a click.
Inside the compact you’ll find a rather handy mirror. No brush provided.

The highlighter is of softest texture yet it’s nicely pressed and doesn’t dust or crumble. The pigmentation is insane!
The first swipe with a brush gives intense color payoff that is easy and quick to blend out.
Jouer Cosmetics has a large number of different highlighters in different collections. As a true fan of rose gold color, of course I opted for the Rose Gold highlighter.
In the packaging it looks duochrome and shines from golden to a tender lavender-rose color.
It looks astonishing on the swatch and my hand and depending on the angles it shows different colors.
In the swatch it’s well visible that the product is shimmer infused. There are big shimmer particles to it. Why did they do that? I hate that big shimmer being visible on my face. Even if I wipe the brush with the product over my hand before application, those particles still stay there.
One more important thing that will leave out this highlighter from the list of my favourite ones is the fact that it looks golden on my face. The beautiful play of colors is visible though very slightly. If I layer the product on my face like on the swatch, then of course it becomes more obvious and noticeable but then it will be visible from across the street, which I don’t always like.
Here I applied it on cheekbones, brow bone and inner corners of my eyes.

I appreciate the staying power of this product, as I can see it present on my face till the very moment I take my makeup off. It can fade a little by the evening on my cheekbones and inner corners.
Jouer Cosmetics Powder Rose Gold Highlighter disappointed me. I expected a tender play of highlight colors on my face but in the end got one more golden highlighter to my collection.
I recommend this color but make sure to swatch it before purchasing and read the reviews.
