I’m a big fan of the Lime Crime brand. And after the purchase of the first Venus eyeshadow palette I used to question if I really needed the second palette and once finally dared to give it a go too.

The palette is cardboard and mirrored. It looks marble and I guess that marble print makes it look neat and sleek.

The palette comprises of 8 shades - 4 matte shades, 1 duochrome, 1 satin shade, 1 shimmer shade and 1 matte glitter hue.

Pigeon - is a green duochrome brown-based color. It’s a true counterpart of the pigment by Inglot #85. It applies nicely damp as well as dry. I can apply it even with my finger.

Filter - is a tender blue shade. It’s badly pigmented and is rather difficult to blend out. I can’t even think of anybody who will look harmonious with this shade on.

Marsh - is a gray-green shade that offers a beautiful satin finish. It flatters any makeup look, I think.

Mustard - bright and intense mustard shade but it looks so only in the palette. On my eyes it looks more muted and I love it a lot as it’s absolutely versatile and I adore it when I use this shade for the crease.

Fly - like the wing of the fly shade. It’s a golden shade with green shimmer to it. It’s unusual and very well packed with pigment.

Jam - right colored orange pumpkin shade. It’s a nicely pigmented matte shade that look sumptuous if worn with the Mustard together.

Mud - red-brown, color of spoiled fruit. This is also my favorite, even though it’s rather difficult to blend out.

Boot - unbelievably beautiful star sky shade. It’s purple and black based with a bunch of blue and lilac shimmer. Unfortunately it doesn’t look as intense on the eyes as in the palette and in general it’s rather hard to show its beauty. It looks astonishing in a smokey eye makeup, though it imprints on my lids, no matter what primer I use.

All in all I’m raving about this palette even though there are some disadvantages about it. The colors are killer and the effect is just a knock-out, let alone the quality of the shades. I love this palette as much as its first sister.

Kisses
