When I was a teenager I used to have a green-color corrector by some unknown brand. I can remember well how I used to apply it over my pimples and red spots and I also do remember how tired I looked if I applied that corrector under my eyes. (I looked literally exhausted and I guess that thanks to that corrector my coach was rather forgiving to me and didn’t torture me a lot with endless trainings and combinations.)
When I used that corrector up, I started to look for another one, but I just couldn’t. This is why I was very upset.
Nowadays, things go much easier: there are a lot of cosmetic brands which retail face primers and correctors, which really help us to diminish the appearance of our skin blemishes. Now they are available in different colors and they also offer different price tags.
For instance, recently the L'Oreal brand came up with the new launch of their face primers collection. It’s called Infaillible Primer:
So, today I want to tell you about the anti-redness green primer in the color 02.
Product info:
Package
The package with this primer really reminds me of the Lumi Magique product - here we can see the same thin tube of pearlescent color, with the typical branded design.
The product isn’t big, there are all in all only 20ml of the formula.
Well, I have to say that the product goes a long way: I need 2-3 small drops maximum, depending on the coverage I want to get of the primer for my entire face. What’s more, I don’t use this product on a daily basis so it won’t be used up too quickly.
There’s a pump dispenser on the tube, which was protected from the first opening: I mean the new product will require several presses of the pump before it’ll start coming out. By the way, the primer comes out through a thin nozzle.
You can vary the amount of the primer you need, by pressing the pump.
The package of the primer is travel-friendly: I like taking it with me and be sure that my makeup will look fantastic anyways.
Product says:
Green micro-pigments neutralise red tones and blemishes to create a smooth, even skin tone.

Texture and properties of the primer
The product is pretty runny texture-wise. (And again I want to tell you that if you had a chance to test our the Lumi Magique primer, then you’ll see how similar it is with this L'Oreal Infallible Primer).
When I apply this product on my skin, it feels as though it runs down my face, like water or a very lightweight gel. Thanks to this consistency, the green Infallible Primer is very easy to distribute over my skin and in general the application becomes absolutely fuss-free.
I don’t feel any particular scent to the product, but I have to admit that it’s still scented, though I don’t feel it on my skin.
The color of the primer is very unusual: it’s a gentle milk-green with a blue-turquoise shade and pearl casting. The color is fantastic and beautiful! I wish I had an eyeshadow of the same color!
During the application, the color of the primer starts to look more of a skin-like tone and then it hides all the skin blemishes nicely (post acne, acne, scratches, etc).
My face doesn’t look green, because it’s obvious that I use my foundation or powder over the primer.
If I look at my complexion with this primer alone than it looks pretty unpleasant, I should say. The green color “devours” all the skin color and I look dead. You can be sure that you’ll never make others scared with your green complexion, simply because that it becomes absolutely invisible even if you apply the thinnest coat of makeup over your skin. The primer won’t be detectable by the natural light or by the artificial lighting either.
I don’t use this primer by L’Oreal often, so I can’t say whether it affects my skin health or not. Yet, at the same time I can say that during the use of this primer I haven’t noticed that:
my pores have become clogged after this primer
there were pimples on my skin
the product dried out my skin
my skin has become allergic to it
How does my makeup look with this primer?
I usually apply this Infallible Primer over my moisturized skin and dab it with my fingers on the cheeks, chin and sides of the nose - all the areas where I have reddening, actually.
The product sets rather quickly and within a few seconds my skin is ready for foundations or any other dry textured makeup products application.
The product really preps my skin for further makeup application because it makes my skin smooth and even, allowing me to apply all the products nicely and there’ll no be pores or skin flaking afterwards.
My skin without any makeup on:
This is how my nude skin looks with the Infaillible Primer on.
And here’s my skin with the primer and powder
My makeup with the primer and foundation.
In the end I want to say that I liked the L'Oreal Paris INFAILLIBLE Primer:
I don’t feel it present on my skin
the texture is very easy to apply even with my fingers
it doesn't clog my pores
it doesn’t dry my skin out
it perfectly preps my skin for the makeup application
it fights all the reddening beautifully
the price of the product is pretty affordable
As for my makeup staying on better, I can say the following - maybe the product really makes it hold on better, I don’t know. You see, the thing is that almost all the foundation products that I’ve tried stayed on well over my skin. I can say that my skin looks less oily on my cheeks and nose if I wear this primer.
I recommend you this primer, especially if you suffer from red cheeks or acne scarring.
