The L'Oreal Infallible collection consists of 4 primers - and for me I opted for the MATTIFYING one. It’ll be so great for my skin during summer times!
Mattifying Primer: Absorbs excess oil for an instantly matte complexion – makeup lasts as long as you without the unwanted shine!
The primer comes packed with a small plastic tube of black color. It comes out through a small nozzle when you press the pump. There’s also a small see-through cap on it. Not much of the product inside, I have to say, just 20ml.
The price is okay - about $7
INGREDIENTS: I hardly ever pay attention to the list of ingredients of the products. But here I took a photo of it just in case. Have a look at it, if you’re interested.
The formula of the primer is of white color, it’s runny and has a light cosmetic smell.
The smell vanishes rather quickly and I can feel it only during application.
The product sinks in fast, though it leaves a tad dewy finish behind.
HOW TO USE:
Using your fingertips, apply a thin layer of primer and work outwards in a circular motion.
BB- cream:
I apply a little bit of the primer (usually 5-6 drops) over my skin. Then I gently work it out with my fingers. I didn’t wait until it sunk in fully and then applied my BB-cream over the primer. I don’t know why but I thought that this way you’ll see the primer working effects better.
In the photo below you can see my skin with the product on, this is why it looks a tad oily. On my temples you can also see my enlarged pores. And many other skin blemishes, indeed.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
By the way, the process of a BB or foundation application goes on much easier over the primer. And in general I have to say that my skin looks different with this product on. It looks beautiful and sleek. I also noticed the mattifying effect from the primer and it’s noteworthy that my pores (those on the temples) have become visually smaller.
Foundation:
In the photo I applied my foundation, highlighter and a tad a contouring products. There’s no powder on my face! The coverage looks thicker than from the BB-cream and the blemishes are less detectable. Thanks to the primer my skin looks glowing with health.
P.S. the pictures aren’t photoshopped and they were taken within a few moments by natural light.
The primer not only mattifies my skin, but it also keeps the oily shine at bay for a few hours. The foundation applies better and in general the coverage looks more even. My makeup stays on the entire day till the evening.
I know that there are a lot of face primers that clog pores. I used to have one from Korean cosmetics and it was so silicone infused, that it really made my skin look beautiful, but it was impossible to use that primer on a daily basis, because it dreadfully clogged my pores.
The L’Oreal primer is a hundred times more lightweight and it really reminds me of cleansing milk texture-wise. When I look at its texture, I don't even have a thought that it would clog my pores. I’ve been using this product for 3 days in a row and I haven’t noticed any changes for the worse in my skin condition. My pores are clean, yes, there are zits and reddening all over my face, but I used to have them even before this primer. :)Yet, I won’t use this primer every day. It’ll be my special occasion product, I think.
Overall:
I liked the product a lot! It’s really cool! It mattifies my skin, makes it look beautiful and really makes the wear time of my makeup longer!
Recommend? Of course!
