I want to review the MAC Cream Color Base. I was looking for a contour product. I love thin and elegant strokes to define my face features. Watching beauty bloggers I set off to the store to buy my contouring product. I was looking for a product of liquid consistency that would look like a concealer. But unfortunately, I couldn’t find any. If you know any good contour products of such form, please let me know in the comments below.
So, walking in the store I understood that I liked one of the MAC products, though it was said to be a highlighter. But still the sales girl advised me to try it out as a contour product.
So, here it is. My new love.
I was so happy that I purchased it. It’s rather cool-toned and doesn’t look red. And of course the creamy texture takes the cake. I’m a newbie in terms of contouring me face so I definitely need a product to be very easy to work with and blend out.
The color seemed to be satin at first which made me hesitate for a moment.

I’m not a shiny textures worshiper, actually, though I like the way this product looks and the way it gives my skin some delicate glow.

And here’s the result on my skin. To take this picture I had to apply some more of the product to make it more visible.
The intensity of color is easy to control thanks to the creamy texture. The blending is very easy and the strokes look thin.
Total look:
Honestly, I’m laughing writing this review now. Is it only me who uses highlighter as a contouring product? Whatever, I’m going to keep using it anyway.
Price in the MAC corners - $23
P.S. I turned down using my blush as this product has totally replaced it.
