There can’t be enough concealers, moreover there aren’t ever enough of good concealers. Today I want to bring you my review of the MAC Select Cover-Up Cache-Сernes.
The design of this product as well as of all the products by MAC is rather simple and minimal. The tube is made of thick soft plastic with a screw on top. The lettering is there and doesn’t fade.

Instead of so many popular applicator wands this concealer has a small nozzle. It isn’t always convenient for personal use but for a job it works just fabulous.
The consistency of the MAC Select Cover-Up Cache-Cernes is creamy and classic. It rather soft and easy to apply to my skin. But be careful with the gentle skin around your eyes. Within 15-20 seconds the concealer starts setting and it’ll be impossible to blend it out or move after that time. Thanks to the setting power there’s no need to use a powder over the concealer afterwards.
The coverage is excellent! It hides all the dark under eye circles with ease as well as acne scars. The coverage is customizing with the ability to layer it to full.
The wear time is till removal, regardless of the powder.
My shade is NW20 which is quite fair with warm undertones.
I use the
MAC Select Cover-Up Cache-Сernes to cover up my blemishes around my eyes and usually I apply it the following way:
First I get some concealer on my palm and then slightly distribute it with my fingers. Then I use a synthetic brush kind of the Zoeva 142 Concealer Buffer type and apply the product on my dark circles blending it out with a damp sponge.
That way the coverage looks decent and thin enough for everyday wear and I like that this coverage looks enough to hide my dark under eye circles.
And now let’s have a look at the concealer in action. All the signs of fatigue are here as a consequence of a bad night’s sleep and working on my PhD.
I apply the concealer following the described above technique and don’t use a powder over it. I also prefer to apply the leftovers of the concealer on the brush onto my upper lid.
The result is great, isn’t it? Here I powdered only my T-zone with some setting powder and to the under eye area I applied a little bit of the Guerlain Meteorites.

MAC Select Cover-Up Cache-Сernes. It’s a good working product without any frills to it. It really rings a bell of the
Estee Lauder Double Wear concealer, but this one is more comfortable during wear. If you need proper blemish coverage and good wear time from a concealer, then I advise you to pay your attention to this product!
