I got a mini of this Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss from one of the beauty boxes.
Size - 3ml
Shade - 202
The casing of the mini is identical to the full-sized product.
Here we can see the same odd sponge. It’s flat with a hole in the middle.
It feels like they were trying to invent something new but for me, that’s a fail. I can’t say that this sponge is handy. I had to take some time to get used to it and tame it.
As for the formula, it’s gooey and thick. It’s pretty easy to apply on my lips and distribute it well.
Shade 202 is a smooth pink color which is shimmer- or pearl casting free.
On my lips, this color doesn’t seem detectable. I can only see it when I notice those white streaks on my lips. Right after the application it never looks good.
Besides, if I apply more of it, the coverage starts creasing on my inner lip making the finish so repelling.
It’s better to apply it with the thinnest layer. This way, it won’t look too glossy yet the finish will be good.
This lip gloss isn’t comfortable on my lips at all. Aside from the way it looks, I also hate its chemical smell and taste. Given that the product is always gathered on my inner lip, I constantly feel that tacky texture.
The product is heavy and it always feels odd on my lips. And even good moisture properties can’t ease that feeling.
The lasting power is excellent.
It sinks in very long and the glossy finish stays on till the moment I remove it. The product will easily live through a bite and will disappear only during a full-course meal.
And even though the staying power is awesome, I still don’t like this Plexi-Gloss. Lightweight and easy to apply formula is much more important for me rather than the lasting power.
