Hey!
Today I’d like to tell you about the product I fell in love with right after the first use. It’s all about the Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Eye & Lip Primer.
What I expect from a primer is that it not only makes my eyeshadow last longer and look brighter, but also that it has a nice formula and a handy applicator wand or pump.
This product meets all my requirements.
Let me start off by saying a few words about the packaging.
The primer comes in an individual black package. The product itself is housed in a white and matte plastic tube.
I love such packages, because the use is more hygienic then.
Moreover, this long and narrow nozzle helps me control the amount of the product. A tiny drop is enough for use on my eyelids, so the product goes really far.
The texture and its properties:
The primer is fragrance-free.
Made in France.
The formula is white and thick. Thanks to the silicone like feel, it distributes on my skin evenly and effortlessly.
The color of the primer is a huge plus for me. It’s absolutely undetectable on my lids, so it matches any skin types.
It feels comfortable on my skin and doesn’t dry it out.

Ingredients:
I used this product specifically for my eyelids.
The nude lipsticks I use do not require any brightening or better staying power, so I decided not to waste this primer for the functions I do not need.
However, I carried out an experiment with my lipstick a few times. I picked up the worst lipstick that bleeds and applies to my lips really badly.
Above: with a primer, below without a primer
With this primer on, the lipstick doesn't get really sticky, but somewhat goopy. Also, it doesn’t feel any better on my lips, but it definitely wears longer.
Now about the interaction with eyeshadow:
Does it make the eyeshadow brighter? Definitely and you can see it in the pictures.
Without a base/ with a base
It works especially well with light eyeshadows. When this primer is on, the light shade gets more visible.
Applying even the most challenging eyeshadow, it doesn’t crease or leave any fallout behind. Plus, it applies streak-free and blends out easy-peasy.
In terms of the staying power, I expect any eyeshadow to last through my entire 8+ hour shift at work and even a little longer (about 10-12 hours).
When the primer is on, the eyeshadow wears really well till I decide to remove it.
It doesn’t crease or fade.
It lasts all day
The pros:
The cons:
I’m really pleased with the quality and performance of the product, so I highly recommend it!
