Hey everyone and thanks for entering my page!
The brand collaborates with three bloggers at the moment.
Recently a new palette was launched by the blogger Sophdoesnails. This palette consists of 8 versatile and diverse highlighters. Sophie herself says that everyone will love these shades.
So, let’s take a closer look at the product and try to figure out if it really is so versatile and suitable for everyone, as they say.
The palette comes in a cardboard box with a clear window on the front, through which you can see the colors.
On the back there is the product description, expiry date, number of the batch and country.
From this information you can learn who Sophie is and why you need this palette.
The material of the palette is beige and made of plastic with a see-through cap, on which the name of the product is indicated.
This style reminds me of a signature, which makes the design somewhat extraordinary and unique.
The cap opens up to 180 degrees and closes tightly with a click.
Inside you can find 8 refills, with the diameter of 5 cm each. The product will go a long way, taking into account the number of refills and their high pigmentation.
Inside the palette you won’t find any brushes or a mirror, which I don’t consider to be a drawback. The packaging is very compact and travel-friendly (makeup artists will love it). Also, you don’t pay too much for brushes included, which are usually of bad quality anyway.
The palette consists of 4 pearly highlighters and 4 shimmers.
The textures are so well made and suitable for both a daily gentle glow and evening makeup, when you need something more intense.
All the shades are so deep that a slight sweep with a brush is enough to get a visible glow. The pearly shades do not have huge glistening particles and create a gentle and even overflow.
The shimmer shades are brighter, but do not have separate and huge particles either. They create such a metallic effect on my skin.
The texture is silky, fine and just a teeny bit dusty when picking up.
It wears all day without fading, but it can smear the screen of a cell phone. Nevertheless the wear time is really good.
The product doesn’t have a smell even when applying.
What to apply it with?
A fan brush or small fluffy brush with natural bristles will be perfect. They airbrush onto the skin very well and make the payoff look more glowy.
The color selection is divided into two compartments. The left 4 shades are meant for a cool undertone and the right four shades are for a warm undertone.
But you can mix them together to get your own personal color.
For me, the favorites of these palettes are pink, white gold and beige.
I don’t mean that the other colors are better or worse, but these 3 options look the best against my fair skin.
The pink shade (the first one of the second row) reminds me of a pearl.
White gold (the first one of the first row) looks cooler and has a slight golden touch.
Beige (the fourth of the second row) adapts well to my skin tone and gives a dewy finish.
Also, these shades may be used for eye makeup as a glowing accent to the lid.
They won’t replace the pigments, but they still can create something pretty eye-catching even if you don’t have them.
White gold (the first one of the first row):
Rose gold (the fourth one of the second row):
3. Gold (the third one of the first row):
More than that, you can apply it to any lipstick as well as any highlighter. Then you can top it with a transparent lip gloss for more volume to your lips.
Pink:
2. White gold:
There is way more than these options possible with the product.
The golden and bronze colors can emphasize the tan and decollete area. The beige shades can be mixed with compact powders to get a glow and baked effect.
Using any shade with the Duraline from Inglot, you get a long-wearing pearly eyeliner.
To sum up, I’d like to answer the question if the palette really is so multi-functioning. And the answer is definitely yes.
These are the most basic highlighter tones that are suitable for almost everyone. The range of use is wide. The shades look really good both on my cheekbones and on my lips. One of the main differences of the Makeup Revolution highlighters to other products is that their formulas are not loose and they do not have huge glistening particles. That’s why makeup artists use them.
The palette is lovely and I recommend it those who are looking for versatile palettes for use on a daily basis.
