Greetings, everybody!
I adore lip glosses, lipsticks, and all the other lip products so much! And once they released the new Sephora box, which contained a mini of this marvelous lip gloss, I didn’t hesitate a moment (almost) and bought it. So, here it is Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi Shine Gloss Lip Lacquer in the color Sugar Sugar.
I was very pleased to find out that even a mini was packed with a paper box, which had all the product info on, including the list of ingredients, as always.
The mini presents 1.7 ml of the product, while the full size has 5 ml.
Manufactured in the US.
This small tube is absolutely the same as its elder brother. It’s made of plastic and the silver part has already had a chance to get some scratches literally within a couple of days of use. So, it isn’t a good throw-in-a-bag option, be careful.
The product offers a dual-sided flat applicator, which is perfect for formula distribution. But here it’s also due to that pliant texture, which is thick to some extent and rather gooey. But I feel so comfortable wearing it. I like the way it distributes on my lips and that there’s no tugging or anything. By the way, the product isn’t sticky during wear. But thanks to that consistency, it stays on for 3-4 hours, if I don’t have a meal. It’s a solid wear time for a lip gloss, isn’t it?
The product doesn’t dry out my lips throughout wear but it doesn’t nurture them either. After fading, your lips will be in the same condition as before. I also appreciate that this lip gloss is able to smooth out chapped and flaking skin.
I also want to note that the product has a vivid mint scent. I can feel it present after application. I can even detect its flavor if I breathe in with my mouth a lot. One more important thing is that the product doesn’t gather with that nasty white film on my inner lip. And it has such a stunning glossy finish!
The product is insanely packed with pigments! My natural lip color is rather bright and this gloss covers it almost all up.
It feathers a little bit, however, it’s a nude lip gloss after all and all that feathering fades aways within 10 or 15 minutes of application. It sets and becomes absolutely fuss-free.
I have only three natural nude lip glosses in my collection and I decided to make a collage with them. By the way, the hero of my review looks the most decent, I think.
I forgot to mention the golden shimmer, which the formula is infused with. It isn’t so obvious on my lips, but at the same time, it makes my pout look more voluminous and not so flat. My lips are so covetable with it on, I’d even say sexy
You can have a look at the shimmer in the swatch below.
The lip gloss has a charming nude shade! Neutral-toned nude it’ll flatter almost everybody. In my book, it’ll look good over any skin tone.
I’ve already said that I received this mini from the Sephora box and you can buy the full size for $28.
Do I love this product?
A lot! Currently, this is my perfect nude shade (out of those three that I already have).
Do I recommend it?
I do, but still, it’s up to you to decide whether to buy it or not, since it isn’t budget-friendly, you know. I guess one can easily find a dupe color from street-end brands. The one from L’Oreal, for instance (from the swatch above), isn’t bad though.
