It’s a rare occasion when I don’t use mascara. So, since I still haven’t found my perfect mascara, I use all the trial sizes of mascaras that I can get. And of course, I couldn’t pass by this one from Marc Jacobs.
The lash-maximizing, curvy brush in this volumizing mascara places the most volume at the hard-to-reach center lash line, and the defining tip styles lashes for major drama. The ultra-concentrated black pigment delivers the greatest visual impact, and the flash volume complex creates instant, smudge-free length and volume in three strokes or less.
Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara gives you the thickest lashes in a blink. This majorly volumizing mascara delivers instant volume for your most epic lashes yet.
About the price
Currently, the full-sized product costs $26 on Sephora and official site.
Usually, you can find the trial sized packaging of this mascara in the Sephora beauty boxes.
About the packaging
Both the trial size and the full-size mascaras come packed in boxes which have all the product info on it. Even my tiny mascara was packed in a good plastic tube.
The brush is standalone torture. Yes, it does look weird but it’s silicone with bristles of different sizes. But this is all because of its size that it grabs too much of the formula when I take it out.
About the results
Well, I haven’t seen such results on my lashes for a long time! They look like a really messy uncombed something with it on. It’s impossible to get to the roots of my lashes with the brush and it feels like my lashes are separate and just fry in the air, not coming close to my eyes. I can’t apply it well at all. I’ve already forgotten what it is like to wipe off my mascara with a q-tip from my skin!
However, I still have to admit that the color of the mascara is black. The formula is unscented and it doesn’t dry out my lashes.
It is a trouble to remove but it’s still possible if you try hard.
This mascara does flake off if you wear it for more than 14-15 hours. Besides, it stains my brow bones towards the evening.
About ethical aspect
The brand is on the PETA list and it is cruelty-free.
Overall
No, no, and once again no! I’ll never repurchase a mini or the full-sized package of this mascara!
