After a really positive experience with Maybelline PUMA mascara, I decided to try other mascaras from the brand too. It’s noteworthy that I decided to start with the hyped and iconic mascara from this brand. I know that my girlfriends have it, as well as makeup artists. So, this discovery couldn’t get past me. So today I’ll tell you about what my experience with it was like.
It’s not a problem to find it in stores as well as online. You can purchase it from any drugstore as well.

The design of the packaging is really eye-catching.
The plastic is pleasant to the touch and the tube feels ergonomic in my hands.
On the back of it, you’ll find some info. However, the lettering is so small that I find it hard to read, even though my eyesight is perfect, mind that.

The product is rather compact and I don’t find any issues with its storage. If you carry your mascara with you, this one will be a perfect option. It’s pretty lightweight, closes safely which makes it a nice travel-friendly option.
Inside, it has a stopper which doesn’t allow the excess amount of mascara to sit on the brush. In fact, I can’t say anything negative about it.

Great Lash Blackest Black Mascara is black which is obvious from the naming. I think it’s true because the swatch is truly black and saturated.

As for the texture, it seemed to me to be a little bit thick.
The brush: At first sight, it looks usual and frill-free, just a classy mascara brush.

But when you start taking a closer look at it, you’ll notice what’s there missing about it. It feels like it doesn’t have enough bristles. I wish it was more furry and voluminous.
In fact, the bristles are rather rare and it results in difficult use and complicated performance because of the stiffness. I’ll tell you details lower.

No significant smell. It smells like any other classy mascara for me.

I couldn't assess its spending because I had to stop using it.
This Great Lash Blackest Black Mascara won’t suit everyone, I think. If your lashes aren’t thick and long, I wouldn't even approach it if I were you. Besides, it’s not so easy to apply as I used to think.
The brush doesn’t coat my lashes smoothly and some lashes miss out and I have to repeat. It doesn’t separate them so when I apply the product, I have to apply it as neatly and slowly as possible. Otherwise, my lashes will be clumped and they’ll be impossible to comb through afterwards. And hello spider leg finish which is the last thing you want to receive when buying a new mascara.
Maybe that’s because of the thicker texture of the product that results in such finish. But maybe the reason is within a brush. Anyway, this brush so inconvenient to get to the roots of my lashes. No matter how hard I try, I either end up with my eyelids stained or prickled.
I also can’t style my lashes with this brush. They always stick out to different sides and never set as I’d like them to.
I have to spend a lot of time and put an effort to get the finish that I’m used to. And it works for me only half the time.

Some say that their Great Lash Blackest Black mascara falls out but I haven’t seen anything like that from my item. But I’ve noticed the color changes. You see, it either fades away closer towards the evening or leaves my lashes somehow. The finish isn’t so black and I want to apply it again.
I know that I don’t want to tame this Great Lash Blackest Black mascara. I’m not just patient enough for all that mumbo-jumbo. Unfortunately, my experiment with this mascara failed and I’m not gonna use it anymore. However, I’d like to get back to my fave in collaboration with PUMA. That one is awesome and I’ll keep on using it.

This purchase is a waste of time and money for me. So, I can barely recommend it. Maybelline truly has some other makeup products that are much better.
