So, here it is! Finally, I have it-- my long awaited Cushion Foundation!

As always, I was expecting something unusual, but in fact…

The packaging:

The product arrived in a carton box, which I had thrown away, as I didn’t know that I would write a review. The foundation is packed in a box of complicated structure. At first we open the top cap with a mirror (it had a protecting tape on), then there’s a puff on it. When we open the plastic cap we can see the paper protector. And on the lower level there’s a sponge with foundation.

The puff is very convenient and its surface reminds me of a Beautyblender, and the coverage looks almost the same. It’s quite difficult to wash it, even if to do it straight after the application. A week after use, it already looks unpleasant. I’d advise you to wash it after each use, if you want to keep your products hygienic.

The sponge with the foundation reminds me of a usual sponge with small pores. It applies the product very well.

The color and application:

For myself, I’ve chosen the light color and I was right, though my skin is quite swarthy with olive undertone. The cushion foundation should provide us with a dewy and glowing finish, which you can get only by the right application and patting the product onto the skin. And yes, there’s a healthy glow and a bit of dewy effect, but not so intense as I expected it to be. What's more, your skin should be in ideal condition: no flaky skin, dryness, small blemishes or pimples.

The cushion doesn't cover much, and emphasizes flaking, even if you've never noticed it before. I also noticed that by the end of the day, the product highlights all your imperfections and settles in creases and wrinkles. So, the only way out is either touch up during the day, or use special finishing powders and setting sprays.

Advantages:

  • gives healthy glow
  • dewy finish
  • evens the skin tone, no mask wearing feeling
  • SPF 50

Disadvantages:

  • it’s not for the dry skin type
  • it emphasizes all imperfections and flaky skin
  • not very good coverage

It’s not perfect for my skin, but that’s only because my skin tends to dry and there are sometimes blemishes, which I want to conceal, not emphasize! So I can give only 4 stars to this product.
