Hi beauties!
The Morphe by Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette was one of the most popular palettes in 2017. But seriously, is it really so cool? Let me tell you more about it.
The palette is made of white cardboard, beautiful but easy to stain. Unfortunately, I own the previous version without the list of shades, but there is one from the next launch of palettes.
Dimensions:
25 x 18 cm.Weight: 56,2 g. (~1,6g each shade)
On the inner side of the lid you can find a message from Jaclyn Hill to her subscribers and fans. Between the lid and the palette itself there is a thin plastic membrane.
The palette features 35 various eyeshadows! Omg, I look like a kid in a candy store!
This is a very colorful palette; it’s hard to call it ‘monotonous’. The eyeshadows come with 3 different finishes: matte (17 shades), satin (2 shades) and shimmery (16 shades)
Most of them have a really good pigmentation and color payoff both when applied with fingers or brushes. Shimmery shades should be applied either with a finger or wet brush. These eyeshadows are easy to layer and blend.
The dark matte shades are worse. They have quite a mediocre pigmentation, fall off and may apply in patches. Their lasting power, however, is amazing when they’re applied over a base.
Since there are so many eyeshadows in the palette, I’ll just show the swatches by rows. They are all made without base and with one touch.

And finally, the fifth row
In general, the combination of colors in this palette is rather warm. Some shades look quite the same on the eyes, which has upset me a little bit. I would prefer a matte base color instead of another brown.
Now let me show you a few makeups I’ve made with this palette, both simple and complicated ones.
I think the bronze shades are really good in this palette
However, the green shades aren’t my favorites. I use them to draw winged makeups as well as accentuate my eyes.
And of course I couldn’t help but try out these colorful shades: violet, blue and turquoise.
This is a really great palette. It has its advantages and disadvantages, though.
Pros:
- Many shades for all tastes.
- Great pigmentation
- Easy to blend
- Good combination of matte and shimmer colors.
Cons:
- Dark matte shades are hard to blend and apply in patches.
- There is no base matte color
- Many shades look the same on the lids.
Even though it’s not flawless, I would really recommend it.
