And hello again. 
I decided to try this Butter Lipstick by NYX. I opted for lipsticks intentionally as I can’t say that I use eyeshadows much but lip products are always something that I use.
The package looks stylish and I guess that teenagers will rave about it. (though there are a lot of cosmetic brands now that retail their lipstick in similar packages)
The stick itself is fairly big - 4.5g all in all. (usually they put 4g).
In the collection there are more than 20 shades so I had to swatch a lot of them and watch through thousands of YouTube videos to cut my wishlist to at least 3 most wanted lipstick shades out of 10. First of all I desperately wanted some fuchsia shade and that’s why I picked up the RAZZLE (BLS01) color. Since I adore bright lipsticks I couldn’t pass by the second shade which is SWEET TART (BLS02). And of course, considering the collective hysteria about nude lipsticks I also opted for the lipstick with beige and pink undertones - CANDY BUTTONS (BLS09).
And now a few words about my impressions:
Pros: well, yes, the sticks look almost the same as the packages. They are all very well pigmented. The color payoff is also fine. The lipsticks are creamy, that’s why I have no problems with their application. They don’t dry out my lips but moisturize them. The coverage is lightweight.
Scent: It’s there but very light and unobtrusive.
The products don’t feather or bleed even though I sometimes wear them without a lip liner.
Cons: The fairest lipstick accentuates flaking (these are the consequences of following fashion) I do take care of my lips and once I even applied this lipstick over my exfoliated and well nourished lips but the result was still the same. All in all I had to invent some other uses or ways of application for it and I actually found the way out. I apply this very shade with my finger tip and then apply a lip gloss on top. And one more disadvantage that is very subjective is the wear time. It isn’t long, you know. I have to reapply the lippies every 2-3 hours.
NYX also offers us some more long-wearing (and cheaper by the way) lipsticks but the colors are different there. And if you ask me to compare the Butter Lipstick by NYX with some other street brand lipsticks and make a choice, without any further ado I’ll choose the NYX Butter Lipsticks for sure.

I give this collection 3 stars for the nude shades which are impossible to use. And even though there are some disadvantages to them, I still recommend the Butter Lipstick for purchasing, as the darker shades aren’t problematic at all and the colors are really packed with pigment.

P.S. my lips are extremely difficult to take shots of. I tried hard but still the colors looked fairer than in life. I didn’t use any photoshop effects on purpose so as not to distort the outcome.

I decided to hold a small experiment. I applied the lipstick over my lips as usual without outlining them with a lip pencil and then took photos within 4 hours. I didn’t drink or eat during that time. (of course the lipstick fades after a meal but there are so many factors that fading depends on: like what you eat or drink or how much time had passed after application and so on). Given these conditions the regular creamy moisturizing lipstick should stay on for at least 3 hours (yes, I love long-wearing lipsticks)
in an hour - in two hours - in three hours - in four hours
And of course my experiment totally depended on the lighting (I don’t have any lighting soft boxes), so in the third picture, within 3 hours of wearing you can see that the light changed, as I completely depended on the sunlight.
But in general I’m delighted with the results. Over time the lipstick shows less gloss and starts fading. But the fading is so delicate that I find that it looks nice for me.

I was wearing these lipsticks in winter and even though I couldn’t tame the CANDY BUTTONS shade, I still liked the other colors and was rather happy with them.
So, I deem it’s okay if I change my mind and eventually assess the lippies with 4 stars.
