Hi!
I’m so obsessed with the latest NYX launches! Their eyeshadow palettes are quite controversial to me, but sometimes the brand produces really awesome products like Cosmic Metal Eyeshadow Palette for example.
Price: $10.
A few words from the manufacturer:
Create a spectrum of out-of-this-world eye looks with the Cosmic Metals Shadow Palette—a new eyeshadow set inspired by our beloved COSMIC METALS LIP CREAM. Featuring six versatile and edgy neutrals in tones of gold, plum and mauve, this gorgeous set loads your lids with rich, metallic color and incredible color payoff.
I love the design of the Cosmic Metals range. I’m a huge sucker for the space topic, so I find this Saturn picture instead of O letter so pretty.
Also, I can finally compliment NYX for their well-pressed texture and for the quality plastic material of this palette. I occasionally dropped it on the floor and even to the tile flooring a few times, but not a refill was damaged.
When I first saw the Cosmic Metals promo photos, I was hooked straight away. The color range turned out to be amazing, so I was very happy when I received it for testing.
This is the very case I would’ve bought this product myself for my own money, because I fell for this palette so much.
It’s hard to convey all the beauty of this palette. The product is amazing. Each shade looks authentic, exceptional and complicated.

The product has a nice, buttery and silky smooth texture, which is not dusty at all. The shadows are thick and highly-pigmented. They apply to my eyelids with my fingers beautifully, so you don’t have to play around with it and an eyeshadow base to find the best way it works.
When I received this palette, I was underwhelmed. I tried to apply these eyeshadows with a brush, but a lot of shimmer was falling out. After a while I decided to use it with my fingers and it worked really well!
The soft texture is easy to apply and blend out with my fingers. The shades have thicker coverage and blend out much better.
Therefore I recommend you do it the same way.
The eyeshadow is quite long-lasting and stays put around 8 hours on me. Sometimes the color was fading in a few hours and only shimmer was left when I used other similar products, but it’s different with this palette.
The shades are the same: bright and vibrant, but the shimmer particles may fall out just a tiny bit during the day.
They have a satin and shimmering finish. Here, the eyeshadow is applied to my bare eyelid skin without any base.

First of all, the Cosmic Metals Palette is a
fabulous addition to my makeup. Yes, every shade can be used alone or mixed together, but the product looks best for me when used with matte shades.
It is a real highlight that changes the whole makeup look then.
For instance, here is one of the easiest makeups. Yeah, it’s beautiful but very dull.
If you add any shade from this palette to this makeup, it will look absolutely different. It becomes bright and festive. A real evening makeup.
Now let’s talk about each shade in particular. You can find the swatches below. Right: the shades with a base, left: without any base. I personally don’t see any huge difference, because the product is highly-pigmented by itself.
Shade #1. It’s a warm beige color that reminds me of creme brulee. This shade is drier than the others, but it’s not an issue when applying. It has much shimmer to it and glows amazingly in the sun.
I love this makeup with this tone. I apply it to my eyelid and then a little bit of black matte shade on top of it. These shades give an olive color with a gorgeous overflow. After that I emphasize my waterline with an olive eye pencil.
Shade #2. It’s a bright and intense bronze with a buttery texture. The finish is satin and very thick. It has shimmer to it, but it’s very fine and not flashy.
Shade №3. This shade is very hard to convey. It’s a real chameleon hue and a pain in the butt to take a picture.
It looks brown with a slight lilac undertone in the swatch, but in reality the lilac touch is very noticeable.
I won’t call this shade very bright or exceptional, but I definitely love how it changes its color according to the lighting.
Shade #4. It’s a gentle rose gold that has a distinct gold shimmer when applied alone. Additionally, it can look pinkish when applying it with dark matte shades.
Shade #5. It’s a sumptuous and trendy Marsala shade with a hint of chocolate. It’s my favorite hue out there.
I always feared to use red tones in my makeup, but as soon as I tried it, I was hooked.
Shade #6. It’s a light gold champagne-tone that compliments green and olive shadows. It doesn’t look fascinating when used alone in my book, but it’s hot fire combined with other shades!
In my opinion, this eyeshadow palette is a success! The shades, pigmentation, staying power and effect on my eyes are on fleek! The price is affordable and the product is well worth every penny.
Definitely 5 stars from me.
Thank you for your attention!
