Recently I ran out of my favorite concealer so I had nothing to do but buy another one. I love experimenting with new products so I decided to try something from the NYX brand.

I have dark under eye circles but they aren’t very visible. Usually I have them if I don’t get enough sleep. I need good coverage and a lit from within skin effect from a concealer. I’ll never repurchase a concealer if it creases or accentuates blemishes like wrinkles, flaking or pores.

Product promises
This lightweight covers up imperfections, discolorations and under eye circles without ever looking cakey or obvious. Little wonder, the HD Photogenic Concealer Wand is one of our best-sellers. The concentrated emollient-rich formula goes on like a dream and creates medium to heavy coverage. Use the lavender for sallow skin the green to reduce the appearance of redness and the yellow for under-eye darkness.
Packaging
The concealer is housed in a small tube which won’t take up much room in your hand bag. I apply the product with a provided applicator. I find this form of concealer the best and the most economical as you can control the amount of product you take out.
Shade
I opted for the concealer in the shade CW 01. I don’t know whether it’s the fairest one but it suits my fair skin very well.
Texture
The texture isn’t runny or watery. It’s cream-like. I dab it with my fingers to get good coverage.
My impressions of use
At first I didn’t like this product. Despite the fact I used to apply it over my moisturized skin, the product accentuated my flaking skin (before application I didn’t even know that I had flaky skin). It also settled into my pores and wrinkles.
As I found out later the problem was in my moisturizing cream. It didn’t give enough moisture to my skin, that’s why I had all those problems. I bought a better hydrating under eye cream and the situation changed. And the concealer started to work wonders. It stopped showing flaking and was way better to apply.
The finish is matte without shimmer (I like it when my under eye skin looks as though lit from within). The coverage is average and you’ll need to layer the product if you want to conceal some serious blemishes. The most important is not to overdo.
For the time being I’m pretty delighted with this concealer as it makes my under eye skin smooth and beautiful.
The product doesn't crease, it isn’t obvious on the skin and if applied over a good hydrating eye cream it doesn’t accentuate wrinkles. It won’t stay for the entire day though it will last for good few hours.

In general the product isn’t bad though it has some downsides. I wouldn’t advise it to girls with dry under eye skin as the product may accentuate flaking and define dryness. But if you use a good hydrating eye cream you are unlikely to face such problem. I won’t repurchase and continue my search of the best under eye concealer!
