Here I am, writing about a product I’ve been using for like 6 months now. It’s become my must have.
I think NYX needs no introduction, since almost everyone interested in makeup knows about the blush in the shade 22 Taupe, which is a sculpting shade in the High Definition Blush line.
I couldn’t find it online since it sells out quickly, so I ordered it on the internet.
The price is about $7, which is quite keen if you think about the product longevity (which knows no bounds).
22 Taupe is a beautiful grey brown with a lilac undertone. The color is fascinating and provides extremely natural-looking contouring lines.
The product is densely pressed, not too powdery and can be easily picked up with a brush. Considering its high pigmentation one should either barely touch the surface with the brush or blow out the excess from the brush to avoid stains on the face.
The blending process goes smoothly, and yet it is impossible to blend the blush out completely. My ideal brush to apply this product with is a flat synthetic one.
I won’t teach you how to contour your face since there are so many how tos on the internet, and the best way to do it is to find a scheme for your face structure.
Why do we need sculpting at all?
The appearance of certain face features can be corrected by applying dark shadows onto them. You can make your nose or chin appear narrower, create prominent cheekbones etc.
At first, I tried to play around with my face, applying contouring colors onto my nose or forehead, but I think it’s an unnecessary complication since these zones don’t require correction. Now I use to apply the sculpting color under the cheekbones and onto the dimple only.
Let me show you my before and after photos:
I think it’s clear that the blush perfectly imitates the natural shadow under the cheekbone. What I like too is that the product doesn’t make the skin relief stand out, doesn’t fall into the pores and stays put for a really long time.
The whole look with the contoured cheekbones and chin:
All in all, I’m happy with the product and I’ll definitely repurchase it .
