Hey everyone!
In this review I’ll be sharing my thoughts about the NYX High Definition Blush. However, I won’t speak about the shade Taupe, which seemed to be liked by everyone, but about the gentle pink Hamptons. NYX has many thrilling shades, that’s why I turned to their corner on my lookout for a new blush.
General info:
Price: $7
Product promises:
A high definition lightweight blush that blends evenly. This vibrant and silky blush delivers a beautiful flush of color and is paraben free.
The housing is ordinary, but it looks pretty cute thanks to the bow. When you press on it, the blush opens. No brush included.
Once, I had Cola spilled over the blush, that’s why it looks so messy. Half of it remained untouched and dry, and I use this very side. I wish the housing was better quality, though, because it has let some liquid through. I won’t count it as a con, but it could have been better.
The blush is small and can easily fit even into a little makeup bag. So it won’t be a problem to carry the blush with you.
Shade 19-Hamptons. It took me a lot of time to choose, since I wanted a neutral shade to refresh my look without making my face appear too tawdry. In the end, I took this shade because it seemed to be nude and neutral.
During application, this blush tends to disappear into thin air, as though there are tiny invisible women in my brush that steal it and smear over their faces The shade seems to be very delicate and appropriate for everyday wear.
Applied with a finger:
The color is light and delicate, exactly like I wanted. However, I fail when I try to apply it with a brush. I tried to do it with different brushes, but the result was just the same. Plus, the blush is very powdery.
I dipped the brush into the blush like 3-4 times and then applied it onto the hand
See the arrow? This is very the blush was supposed to be, but I can’t see it. Anyway, you have to try very hard to achieve a visible result. I think I’ll just use this blush as an eyeshadow in combination with a good base, since it’s impossible to use this blush for its intended use. Even cheaper blushes have better pigmentation.
Well, I think maybe it’s just a wrong shade and others have a better pigmentation. It was supposed to give a delicate look, but it had to be visible with a naked eye, you see.
Do I recommend? Not this shade, but others are probably worth a try.
Pluses:
- little, easy to carry around
Minuses:
- poor quality
- lack of pigmentation
- too powdery
