Here’s my review of the NYX Hot Singles Eye Shadow. Earlier, I used to neglect the cosmetic products by NYX but recently, about a year ago, I discovered this brand for me and started to buy their products more and more often, each time finding something new and interesting.
This time I opted for a very bright and bold eyeshadow color. It’s so vibrant and screaming. Definitely eye-catching PINK!
Full name of the product: NYX Hot Singles Eye Shadow HS05 WILD ORCHID
Package: it’s strict yet simple. It’s made of a sturdy but flimsy plastic. The very first day I purchased it, there immediately appeared to be some scratches on the plastic so the package doesn’t look presentable anymore. But it all doesn’t matter when it comes to the content, right?
By the way, on the package there’s all the necessary info given, including the list of ingredients, manufacturer and so on.
The plastic bow on the side of the package helps to open the compact easily and saves my nails. (This is so important). The product closes with a click which is also very nice of them.
Color: It’s a tempting and vibrant pink shade. This is the very case when the name of the product speaks for itself. This time it speaks for the color.

so many shades at the store, and I really wanted to buy all of them…
Texture: it’s silky and not at all chalky.
Pigmentation: It’s very high-packed. One swipe of the brush gives opaque coverage. The product applies well if I use a brush or sponge applicators. At the same time the product packs which means you can apply it less bright in the inner corners of the eyes and pack the color to a more intense shade in the outer Vs.
Lasting power: It’s also very decent. Over an eyeshadow primer the product stays on till you remove your makeup. I wore it without a primer only once for about 6 hours and I didn’t notice any color fading or creasing. The color intensity remains the same applied with or without a makeup primer.
Finish:The product shows a matte finish, even though there seems to be some shimmer in the packaging.
The product doesn’t fall out during application.
