A primer has lately become my favorite makeup product.
Everyone knows what it is meant for: it preps skin for applying foundation. It evens out skin tone and removes flakey bits.
Also, it sets makeup and makes it more long-wearing.
GENERAL INFORMATION
I purchased this oil primer along with the NYX Total Control Drop Foundation. These are the two products of the brand that I try.
Price point: $14.
The oil comes in a small black package with a lovely design.
On the one side of the package you can see how to use the dropper. You just screw the cap to the right and a pump dispenser appears.
The pump is connected with the dropper. So simple
Size: 20 ml. I think that it will last me for quite a while, because just a few drops are enough for my whole face.
So it goes a long way.
TEXTURE AND SMELL
The oil has a normal oily and liquid formula. It reminds me of argan or even burdock oil…

I apply it with my hands without any brush. This way is more convenient for me.
Application
It applies very easily and absorbs into my dry skin well, although not completely.
It leaves a glossy sheen.
After that I apply foundation with a brush blending it out thoroughly and the results are amazing! My skin tone is even, smooth and glowing All the imperfections are concealed.
Bare skin/ with primer and foundation
Applying the foundation without the primer gives me a disgusting and uneven skin tone. Plus, it emphasizes all imperfections, which are especially noticeable on my forehead, cheeks and around my mouth.
BUT this primer makes a world of difference. No dry patches are visible.
The foundation is lightweight, so it’s pretty undetectable on my skin either. Plus, it doesn’t feel or look mask-like.
These two products are perfect for a gentle everyday makeup!

TOTAL LOOK
I would also like to attach a few pictures of my total makeup that I created with the help of this oil primer.
The blemishes are only noticeable on my nose. I have blackheads, which I still can’t clear up. If you have any tips, please let me know.
Bottom line :
PROS:
Extends makeup wear. When I have this primer on, I don’t need any touch-ups. The makeup doesn’t flow or bleed.
It doesn’t make my skin feel taught, because it moisturizes it very well, which is a huge plus.
Covers up my blemishes: dry patches and uneven skin tone.
I’m totally pleased with this purchase However, I don’t know if I ever repurchase it. The thing is that the market is now full of various fascinating makeup products and I always long to try something new. Nevertheless this oil primer is definitely worth a look.
