When I finally managed to tame the NYX Professional Makeup LID LINGERIE, I thought that it wouldn’t be a problem for me to tame their Jumbo Pencils as well. But I was so wrong.
Today I’d like to tell you about JUMBO EYE PENCILS, which leave a rather ambivalent impression behind.

The products are actually packed with a white and plastic casing. Initially, I used to think that they are retractable but later I found out that I had to sharpen them. By the way, they won’t fit into a regular sharpener and require a sharpener with a large opening. In fact, these aren’t eye pencils but more like cream eyeshadows, because they have a soft and pliant texture which is so pleasant to bend out. But, they crease so badly…
I have two pencils - the silver one has number 603 and the dark-gray one is 615. Both shades are rather wearable, even though they offer a metallic finish. However, the calm colors really cancel out that boldness. The color selection shows 28 colors. There you can find calm and wearable everyday shades, as well as bold and vivid hues.
Shade 603 POTS & PANS
Well, the name is rather expressive. The shade is naturally silver and it doesn’t have any silver chunky bits in the formula. I used to like such shades in my school years when I was about 14 and was winning over all the school discos. If only I had some pink pearlescent lipstick on, that guy from the school would definitely ask me to dance with him.
Shade 615 SLATE
It’s a true slate shade which is metallic based as the color #603. This one is adorable and I like the way it blends out. Such perfection for smokey eyes.
When I bought these pencils, I was sure that they would be my staple products. The colors are alluring, saturated and well pigmented. Moreover, the blending is so quick. But there wasn’t any love at first sight though. The products perform the following way if I wear them without a primer:
The same as my school years cosmetics.
The primer makes the situation better and the products stay on well and almost don’t crease on my upper lids.
The shades 603 and 615 are matchy and I can come up with some makeup looks using them. But even if I use an eyeshadow primer, it still doesn’t ensure good wear time.
All in all the products aren’t bad but still, I can find a lot of eye pencils which are better and cost the same. If you’re looking for gleaming eyeshadow, then I’d advise you to pay attention to the
NYX Professional Makeup - LID LINGERIE collection instead
