Hello beautiful ladies!
I think everyone who follows trends in the beauty world knows that nude shades, especially the matte ones are all the rage now. NYX Lingerie liquid lipsticks just broke the Internet! This is all happening because this range includes 24 absolutely matte and undoubtedly breathtaking shades. I’ve even got two of them. It just happened so, that they’re almost similar, because I bought one of them myself and the other was a present I found under the Christmas tree.

The packaging is made of thick and quite heavy plastic. The color of the tube is transparent, so that one can clearly see the color of the lipstick shade. The lid and inscriptions on the tube are glossy black.
The applicator is quite big, soft and flat. The rounded tip allows to apply the lipstick neatly along the outline without any lip liner. The lipstick stopper is good.
Taking pictures for this review I tried not to confuse which color is in the photo, as they look so alike - gorgeous and everyday LACE DETAIL and SATIN RIBBON shades. They’re both beige and muted and only the light pink undertone makes the difference. The texture of both have no clumps, they are thick and silky. The finish has no streaks and stroke marks.
03 LACE DETAIL - NUDE PINK BEIGE
It’s a perfect nude shade with a pink hue. I’ve been looking for something like this for so long, but I couldn’t find anything of the kind in any brand. So when I found this, it was love at first sight, I wanted it and it wanted me.
Be sure, that the lipstick won’t bleed off or disappear, it stays for a long time after it dries out regardless of the weather forecast and outline made by a lip liner.
07 SATIN RIBBON - NUDE BEIGE
It’s totally beige without any tints. It looks very soft on the lips and suitable for any occasion from walking a dog to partying 'til morning.
Either way, there’s a possibility in both cases that a stranger may comes up to you and ask about this freaky lipstick.
It applies very softly with thick coats. The main thing is to finish your makeup before the lipstick dries out, otherwise there will be an uneven coverage.
Everything I knew about liquid matte lipsticks before is rubbish, as these babes surpass in their texture everything I’ve ever had in my cosmetic bag. The lips dry out literally per minute and get the finish without glitter, not even a scintilla of moisture or glossiness, they’re absolutely dry and it’s hard to fault. The lipstick leaves no traces anywhere, not even on a wine glass or a napkin.
Let’s talk about staying power. I was so amazed: 6 hours and no corrections needed. It stood everything - food, water and even kisses, though not so passionate, nevertheless noteworthy. Since time the lipstick fades and erases without transforming a beauty into a beast.
Is it comfortable? You know, there are such lipsticks which attract everything like a magnet - hair, dust and everything in sight. But here we see something absolutely different - the coverage is not tacky at all! You don’t feel any discomfort or tightening and it doesn’t leave streaks on the lips, which could have appeared after several glasses of milk. Nothing of the kind! Yes, it’s better not to smile widely, as it’ll break your coverage.
It seems like I found a perfect lipstick for an ideal makeup, but no, there are still some cons:
- The lipstick emphasizes ALL the dry patches, imperfections and flakes, that’s why it’s better to use primer first or a chapstick at least.
- Too many coats lead to bad results. Even if you just want to correct your makeup, it won’t look beautiful anymore. It’s better to wash it off first and apply it again.
- The lips dry out, but it was expected. One should be prepared for this beforehand.
To my mind, this lipstick has more pros than cons. I’ve noticed that I use these beautiful lippies almost everyday, but I’ve started looking at the Nyx range with different colors, ‘cause I certainly want to try something else too.
