Ombre is all the rage now and it’s going nowhere! The Ombre effect referred to hairstyles first, but now you can have it even on your lips!

General informationThe Lip Duo comes in a plastic tube, the color of which corresponds to the lipstick shade.
The shade number can be found on the paper packaging and on the lipstick itself.
I’ve picked up OLD07 Poppy&Lily shade.
It’s a lip liner on the one end and a lipstick on the other. Isn’t it wonderful?
The lip liner has a thin pencil with a retractable tip.
The texture is quite thick, but it glides over my lips easily, provided that they are properly moisturized with a lip balm.
The lip liner comes in a bright raspberry-red color.
There’s a lipstick with a thicker stem on the other side of the product. It’s no use to apply much force when applying, because the coverage is too thick and patchy. Besides, the pencil breaks easily.
The shade is lilac pink that is actually lighter than the lip liner, but they match perfectly.
Ombre Lip Duo application
The packaging offers the in-depth information with photos, according to which you should first apply a lip liner and then coat it with a lipstick.
However, NYX website says that it’s better to apply the lipstick first and only then define the outline of your lips.
As for me, I followed the instruction written on the packaging.
Photos of the lip liner applied. I filled out the corners of my lips more intensely.
Next I applied the lipstick to the middle of my lips.
After that I blended out where the edges meet. You can do it either with a lip brush or your fingertips. Moreover, it’s also possible to compress your lips and blend the colors together. I love it this way!

Wear:
- It gives a matte effect without tightening or drying my lips. More than that, it doesn’t emphasize any peeling.
- It lasts about 6-7 hours. It survived even after drinking and eating. It wore off in the center of my lips a little bit, but it was easily fixed by compressing the lips and blending the color again.
- The lip liner penetrates into the lips, so that it sticks around for 24 hours and doesn't come off even after using micellar water or foaming cleanser. By the end of the day a slight hue is left.
- it’s a little bit of a hassle to work with this Lip Duo, but I think it’s a matter of time.
My impressions:
Well, I loved the way the lipstick looked on my lips. The ombre effect is quite eye-catching, so it’s definitely not for my everyday makeup. Besides, I’m not sure if Poppy&Lily shade suits me well. However, it’s an amazing color for a party
